5 more thoughts from the Sunday programme:

1. I've not been a fan of Helen all series but she improved in her DO where Georgia did not, although Georgia first time around was brilliant. Helen was most gracious in defeat and I'm sorry now to see her go. Confess I shed a tear.
2. Claudia's appreciation to the cast member of the Lion King from whose palm she emerged - this is why I love her.
3. Darcey in tears when Georgia was called in the DO and when Helen was saying goodbye. Nice that she really appreciated both.
4. I feel very appreciated by the celebs as a member of the voting public this year.
5. Finally, the music number from the Lion King was great and I loved the mix with SCD's professionals.

No they all have previous dance experience in the WEST END and should not be on Strictly! The poor teapot has had no dance experience whatsoever, you can tell by his sickled feet

1. Looks like some of Glob's grease dripped on Anita's hair...
2. Kevin, it was supposed to be a VW...I'm sure some of it should have been in hold...
3. Anton having to work for his money this year.. HAHAMARVELLOUS...
4. Right G&G, time to go all out for the votes next week - it's either JoeVarney's chest or Jorja's whippet...
5. Helen love, you looked like you were chewing the tail off a bull at some points...

I'm so naive. I thought they were straight off the savannah or countryfile or summat

2b. Georgia & Giovanni
Thought Georgia did a nice job controlling the slowness in order to produce a beautiful, ethereal feel to the foxtrot routine. Agree that Georgia's upper half showed no strain and liked how she kept a nice healthy, exaggerated distance between both their heads in hold. Thought that the background characters could've been a bit more resourceful and involved in enhancing the performance. Maybe a different, pleasant morning curtsy/greeting by Belle (coming down the stairs) for each of the characters at the top before seguing into hold. Perhaps each of the characters could then freeze midway sometime afterwards, and become animated as the couple circles with pivot turns around them. Maybe more exposure in the extra department over time may assist, as the floor coverage also seemed a bit small and constricted. Nonetheless, thought the couple moved around the dance floor with a measure of ease and that the routine had a classical sense of style and charm to it.

1b. Jay & Aliona
Thought the choreography was like a quiet conversation in dance between two lovers who were sharing a developing, genuine romance. A pleasure to watch Aliona gently caress the floor beautifully at the top to give the routine a soft, inviting touch. Nice hip twist and opening out steps where Jay showed confident body rhythm with his hip shaping and lines. Thought all his steps had a hint of resistance, with his upper body/arm movement developing properly from the core out. His soft arms felt the music well throughout the routine, right into the sequence where he drapes his hands down across his face, with a supportive Aliona comforting his agony from behind. Thought Jay's footing at the top needed a hair work and that the one-legged hold of Aliona towards the end was a bit inelegant. Nonetheless, it was nice to see wave after wave of effortless motion unfold on the floor, graced by a budding relationship that hinted of a subtle and calm storybook intimacy.

Best of luck to all the celebs and looking forward to their dances.

The Lion King looks amazing - must get around to going to see it at some point!

Thought the Judges got it about right with the scores

Whether you like her or not, you have to admit Kellie really knows how to sell a dance - that final pose on the table was brilliant

Anita must have a lot of support (or she did this week) to have gone ahead of Georgia and Georgia must have been pretty much at the bottom (only possible for Helen to have been below her and get that result)

For once, I really don't care who wins - any of those left would be a worthy winner (although Katie is the only one not to have scored a 10....)

Sneaky 6 - I loved Joanne and Anton's dance to Josh Groban

I cannot believe Anita got through over Helen. I had Helen, Georgia and Jay down as the last three.

The Lion King dance was just gorgeous.

Josh Groban was wonderful singing OTR.

What shocks await in the semis I wonder??

So what you're saying is they didn't give it to much welly.

Seriously, it's nice to see a decently written and well balanced comment on a dance, as compared to the normal heavily biased opinions from posters with little or no dance knowledge or experience ( like me).
