It was just ok for me - I thought last week's was better.

Yeah, I liked it. Much better than last week. Last week didn't like any of the dances lol.

I want to see the celebs dancing and NOT the unnecessary extras, the songs were extremely difficult to choreograph to so no this was one of the worst SCD for a while

I enjoyed it but the "huge" theme anti-climaxed due to so few couples taking part.

Would have worked far better in the week before Blackpool IMO.

It was a lot better than I thought it would be, especially since I don't like musicals! The themes added to the dances rather than got in the way. The dancing looked great as well.

Sorry I loathed it.
The song choices for me had little or no relevance to the types of dance being done and as a consequence the dances suffered. Was not very impressed by the quality of dancing either. Bearing in mind we are at the business end of the competition I would expect far better.
And as for the judges, well they are just hideously incompetent imo. Really quite cringeworthy.
A forgettable night.

Not my favourite - the backing dancers detracted from the routines IMO.

Yes, it was great entertainment! More of this please!

It wasn't my favourite week and I kind of feel that Jay's Rumba was a bit lost in amongst all the big jazzy productions. His was the only dance that didn't have the extras.

It was simple and romantic...that is why I loved it.

Oh I thought it was great but it just seemed a bit weird to have such a quiet dance in amongst the raucous lot.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, OP, but I found it quite flat and a bit underwhelming.

Loved it.

Tonight was no different to the other shows in this series as I have loved every one.

So there to the fault-finders.....

Not all the best choice of songs, but these days it's more "show than dance."

I've really given up hoping for a song list where I like all of them.

You need to have a quiet bit amongst all the razzmatazz! Like light against dark, it shows up better!

I thought it was outstanding and I was so pleased for Jay and Aliona! Wasn't he excited?

Gleb accidentally turning up for his performance dressed in his gay fetish police uniform was the highlight

He can report for his duty with me any day.

As to the OP: I loved it tonight. Even the weaker dances, loved them all.

I really, really struggled with it. I hate musicals so it left me completely cold.

And just when you think Kevin couldn't get any more irritating, they dress him up as an extra from Olicer Twist and bingo. Add Kellie screeching like a washerwoman and dancing on a table again and my foot almost went through the TV.

So optimistic but the worst show i've seen in years of strictly
Tweacle i agree the Kellie and Kevin debacle was particularly egregious

BIB. Agree. I hope they don't do this again next year. A movie and Halloween week is enough.

Loved it, thought it was fun and entertaining and we now have dancers who are all, at least, rather good.
There is an enormous amount of pretentious snobbery around about SCD
Which I find amusing, it's light entertainment a show based on camping it up and glittery frocks , yet people who can manage a polka are doing on critiques like they are judging the world championships.
If I, so consistently, had to moan about it I wouldn't watch.

Besides the backing dancers which are 99% of the time THOROUGHLY F-ING ANNOYING I thought it was a very good week
