What a discerning person you are but would add one more thing in that Anita was definitely undermarked.

I would agree the show was disappointing tonight not helped by those dreaded extra dancers again, always getting the way.

I HATED KELLIE'S VW. I danced VW when I was younger and normally it's my favourite dance, but that was NOT a VW.

Anita was torn to shreds by three judges. Methinks that Gleb breaking the rules previously may have a bearing. I thought she was undermarked.. She certainly seemed to get a longer standing ovation than some.

Kellie overmarked as usual.

People forget Anita has not had any dance training at all, whilst all the others have, even the saintly Katie. I know she doesn't dance or perform now, but that doesn't mean she didn't do years of ballet classes.

Completely agree. In his rumba he made the exact same facial expression that he did for his tango. He can't act.

Georgia probably deserved at least one 10 paddle in relation to some of the cack that gets 10s!

Jay probably overmarked - I guess its a taste thing but I didn't 'get' it, and normally I love his dances.

Anita was overmarked as well IMO but she ended up bottom so that doesn't especially matter.”

Probably overmarked - No Jay was DEFINITELY overmarked and Anita was UNDERMARKED without a doubt.

FORGET?

How on earth could they? She tells everyone every week at least once.

And she's had loads of training now.

And her feet were appalling, by the way.

Discerning is an adjective that comes from the Old French discerner, meaning to “distinguish (between), separate (by sifting).” Which makes sense, because someone with discerning tastes or a discerning eye is good at distinguishing the good from the bad and sifting out the gems from the junk.

Perhaps they should remind us now and again.

I am glad to see that there is another person that agrees with me. She was definitely undermarked tonight and Craig's remark about pidgeon toes was disgusting because it is a condition that Anita suffers from and she cannot correct it in her dancing. I only hope that she survives this week to give her a chance for greater dances in the future.

Otherwise the winner will be the one that went to the best dance school and don't forget that Jay went to Two dance schools.

Anita had an illegal lift so she was being marked out of 36 not 40.
Nope. You are allowed lifts in the Argentine Tango.

At competitive level they're not common but on Strictly they are certainly allowed.

Whatever his reason was for the 6, it wasn't an illegal lift.

Poster was talking about her Rumba the previous week.

Anita performed brilliantly - her footwork let her down and that was Glebs fault - it
has been said to him on numerous occasions to get the details wrong - she was under marked by Craig but scores from the other judges were fair.

Other than Craigs 6 - the scores seemed fair tonight.

That said I think Anita will get extra votes because of that 6 and will be saved - Helen may be in trouble

Kellie was over-marked for me. Like a lot. I barely saw any Viennese.

The rest seemed about right. Craig's 6 for Anita's AT felt harsh but Len's 9 too generous.

I thought they might go crazy with Helen's scores 'cos she went last but they marked her fairly. Enjoyed the interpretation of her Paso but it wasn't danced that brilliantly. 8s fair.

The previous quote was about Anita's rumba, in which no lifts were allowed and she had done a lift.

There were 6 lifts in her AT tonight, normally they give 3 lifts as the maximum. So that's 3 lifts too many.
FORGET?

She mentions it on ITT. Or, rather, Gleb and the panellists mention it frequently.

The vast majority of Strictly viewers tune in once a week for the Saturday live show. That's it. They don't watch ITT religiously, they don't scrutinise the backgrounds of dance contestants.

Until Blackpool, when Claudia brought up the topic, the audience had not been alerted to the fact that she was the only remaining contender who didn't turn up on day 1 with 7 years of Sylvia Young or the (much-maligned) Charlotte Hamilton under her belt.

3 months of one-on-one training is moot - everyone else has had 3 months too - 3 months on top of what they've already come with. I spent 4 years at Italia Conti. I would laugh someone out of the room if they claimed that three months dance training put them on an even footing with me - especially if I'd had those three months too.

I vote for Jay and Anita most weeks, depending on whether I liked their dance/if they need the votes. Just like I have no problem with Jay benefiting from an unlevel playing field, I've no problem with the fact that it's not a level playing field for Anita.

Never stopped them pointing it out to Ricky Whittle every week...
