His costume makes so much sense if you watched the movie (I saw it a few days ago ) or at least saw the musical but unfortunately a lot of people haven't.
He dressed exactly as that man in the movie . Once is a beautiful musical and movie btw; I highly recommend it
it may have been 'right' for the musical, but it was still one of the most un stylish renditions of jeans and a shirt i've ever seen. it could have been so much better

I'm afraid that was lost on me, but from a viewers point of view, I really didn't rate the dance at all, I thought Jay looked awkward. He has yet to learn how to 'feel' a dance.

For Heaven's sake ! What kind of jeans and shirt did you want ? Versace ? Dolce & Gabbana ? The character was an impoverished street busker !
