No problem. Hope I can have some good answers for you
A few years ago they did double eliminations in semis but now they scrapped that so 1 couple leave next week giving 4 couples in the final

They Are given the dances again in the semi finals
In the final they do showdance and judges choice Then 1 couple are eliminated. After this the 3 couples that remain do their favourite dance of the series and then the winner is crowned at the end of the show. Also the judges scores are only a guide in the final and the positions of the couples are decided purley on public votes. So whoever your fave is make sure you vote loads for them and dont think the judges scores wil help becuase as i say they are only a guide and dont count towards the results. sorry for long lenghy answers but I have watched the show religously since 2008 so hopefully this will help and that is how the last 2 finals have run and they have been 13 weeks long like this so i dont think they will chnage the way it runs this year. Hope you find this helpful or useful

I'm so excited for next week already, one thing though, I always though AT's were counted as Latin not ballroom for the purposes of Strictly so could the two girls who have that left not have that as their Latin?

The Argentine Tango is considered ballroom for the purposes of Strictly since it was demoted from being semi-finals only.

(Hello. I know I said I wasn't planning to watch the rest of the series last night in a fit of pique... I'm still on the fence about that, but I'm definitely less inclined to watch after this result)

Why? Because a favourite went? There's so much to enjoy - I love my Saturday and Sunday "Strictly" nights. For me, the trick is not to take it too seriously - I just enjoy it for what it is: a lovely glittery, fun Saturday night entertainment show on TV

My favourite couple has gone and my back-up obviously flatlined in the public vote this week, and two of the other remaining couples are actively annoying me now... at this point last year when Pixie went my favourite was still in (and indeed went on to win) so I could just about live with Mark Wright making the final. But I digress.

Anita & Gleb - Foxtrot or Viennese Waltz / Salsa
Georgia & Giovanni - Argentine Tango or Viennese Waltz / Cha-Cha-Cha (she has mentioned looking forward to doing AT but not 100% confirmed)
Jay & Aliona - Viennese Waltz / Charleston (confirmed on results show)
Katie & Anton - Waltz / Charleston (confirmed on results show)
Kellie & Kevin - American Smooth or Argentine Tango / Rumba

To reiterate what I said on the spoiler thread last night - I think that unless Katie has an absolute shocker and ends up bottom of the leaderboard, the public will vote her through to the final, probably at the expense of either Georgia or Kellie. Anita could also go if she's bottom of the leaderboard with no ties. The only one I'd say isn't in danger this week is Jay unless some freak chain reaction of accidents leaves him bottom of the leaderboard with no ties, either Anita or Katie directly above him and he clearly does worse in the dance-off.

Sorry if this question has been asked...

Can the couples choose which dance they do if they end up in the D/O?

I'm assuming that each couple do their highest scoring dance of the evening in the dance-off ..I'm not sure. ..I can't remember

Yep, they usually do their highest scoring dance, unless they scored the same on both, then they get to choose.

nope they chose what dance they do in the DO Natalie Gurmedie did her lower scoring dance and still got through in the semi's

My guess is Georgia and Anita will not do VW as their AS dances were VW based, so I think that was so they could still do the dance without actually doing it.

Gutted Jay isn't doing a samba, I can imagine that would have been amazing, he was so good at salsa.

I would hope/think, seen as Aliona got the rhumba all done by Monday night that they may well have done some of their semi final dances when they had ten minutes here and there as they were given the gift of time having the choreography nailed down so early and time is precious this week. Well that's what I would have done anyway.

I think you could be right, if Georgia does AT and Anita does Foxtrot, there would be 5 different Ballrooms, so it would be more variety. There's one duplication in the Latin (both Katie and Jay doing Charleston) already, so I'd imagine they will go for as much variety as possible with the Ballroom.

If katie gets the samba instead of the charleston, she is toast . She might not make it to the finals. For Anton's sake, I hope they get the charleston as their Latin because I would love to see what his showdance would look like

The ballroom is Anita's weakness. She will really struggle with the foxtrot. It is the MOST difficult ballroom dance imo; so complex . I dont see her doing so well with this. The VW will be a better choice for her.

I think that Kellie will do a great rumba . I dont know why a lot of people seem to think that she wont. Her ballroom and Latin are equally good imo.

Georgia. I hate the chacha at this stage of the competition. There is a reason why MOST couples get it as their week 1 or week 2 dances. It just does not resonate as well with people at this stage imo.
She said that she loved the AT so I think that this may be their ballroom. I dont think they will have the VW because I am already assuming that Anita may have it as her ballroom.

JAY : PERFECT FINAL 2 DANCES LEFT. Enough said. I am now glad that they skipped the samba; the charleston is such a real crowd pleaser and this is the perfect dance to have in the semi.
The VW imo is so easy; easiest ballroom dance after the waltz imo so yeah...lol.

Aliona and Anton's experiences is shown here. They played a perfect blinder with their dances throughout the competition imo . Their respective celebrities have the perfect final dances left imo; assuming that Katie avoids the samba.

Might be a mistake dancing Rumba to Chaz'n Dave's Rabbit though

I would much rather the showdance was the last dance in the final as it used to be previously.

Katie and Anton definitely have the charleston... It was confirmed on the results show

As a dance novice - I watch I don't even attempt to touch dancing - two left feet!!!

How come the Charleston is classed as a latin dance on Strictly??

I'm sure I read somewhere that it's usually in a category called 'American' along with Rock 'n' Roll and Lindyhop??

And if a Charleston is neither ballroom or latin, then would that mean Jay and Katie are both skipping doing a latin dance in the semi-final?

Anton did a good charleston with Laila Rouass so yes this is a good dance for them.

Charleston, Salsa, Argentine Tango and American Smooth are all neither Latin or Ballroom, but they're classified as one of the two on Strictly to make things easier.

So much for my theory that Electro Velvet's "Still in love with you" would be a sure bet for one of the Charlestons this year - unless Jay or Katie have it of course...

I hope Katie gets it it's an amazing track.

I'd love to see them try. Maybe Dave Arch could slow it down. "Ra. ........ bbit, Ra........bbit, you're be...........com.......ing a peeeeeeest": Kevin turns away leaving Kellie looking on sadly. . Kellie is obviously dressed in a crystal studded rabbit onesie!

It was a good crowdpleaser ending with the showdance but unfotunately that meant the first eliminated couple didn't get to do it..
