World renowned choreographer Matthew Bourne tweets about Jay's Rumba

He gushed a few times in the past about Jay's dancing
e.g.
Quote:
“Something so endearing about @JayMcGuiness ... & he can dance! Lots of talk about his face... Let the body do the talking Jay! @bbcstrictly”

and again tonight :-

Quote:
“Matthew Bourne ‏@Mattbourne1 4h4 hours ago Islington, London

Had a bit of a tear along with @DarceyOfficial with @JayMcGuiness & @AlionaOnline #rhumba @bbcstrictly Romantic and touching ❤️”

It Takes Two often highlights tweets from celebs gushing about other contestants but not when world class choreographer Bourne says anything about Jay. It will be interesting if they decide to post this new one.

To be honest, I am more interested in what my own eyes tell me about Jay's performance. A heel lead on his very first step was hardly a great way to start.

It's really lovely to see support like that.

It's all subjective in the end, but I don't need him to plaster the acted emotion on his face.

I feel what he's feeling from watching him dance. I sort of don't get people who can't get that from his performance, but some people need the faces I guess. *shrug

That's fine if that's your bag but I agree with Matthew. He dances with every inch of his body and that is what speaks to me.

I had tears in my eyes watching tonight. It was gorgeous.

Glad someone else has seen it also, thought I was all alone out here!

I really like Jay, but this just didn't do it for me, I don't get the fuss.

Just watched it again and it was somehow even better the second time. Nice to see Jay getting some nice comments like that from a professional.

Most of the board have said they didn't like his dance, so you're clearly not on your own.

What board? This one? I have seen very few who didn't like it, most loved it as far as I see.

I agree though it's nice to have such comments from him though and I think he has deserved it in the past.

Does anyone know if he said anything about his jive or tango?
Wonder if he has him in mind for something.

Think his tweets came after the Foxtrot and the Rumba .. so the more emotive dances! So nice for Jay to get such positive comments from such a respected choreographer. I'm sure he'll be thrilled.

You mean when he was walking to position?
I think he can be forgiven for that.

Oh you're not alone, but I think it's less than minor.

Anyone who hasn't switched their picky whinging from Peter Andre to Jay.

I thought it was very good and agree with the professional judges and world renowned choreographer.

I forgave him for when he was walking to position. But if you notice, he did a massive heel lead when he started the forward basic rumba walk.

This.

However I don't think he should even walk into position like that, once the music starts, the rhumba starts. They should have been rhumba walks.

But yes, the very first step of actual rhumba was a heel lead.

Keeping things in perpsective, he's also tweeted a couple of times (positively) about Kevin and Kellie, including last night's VW.

Also since it was a rumba, I would have been more impressed if a top latin coach or world champion had tweeted about it.

To focus on that is a bit petty in the light of the overall performance IMO

I'll see of I can find a top Latin coach to tweet you, although bearing in mind of your rather pious attitude I fear that tweet may not impress you either,
Fiddle dee dee.

Eh? At least I don't insult other posters instead of trying to advance a rational argument.

Just a point he did not walk into position. He was in position from the start! He walked the first bar of the dance. Three good heel leads a bronze medalist would be proud of 😄

Depends on your perception, I'm offended by such a po faced miserable attitude. And let me be clear I don't expect you to care or change your view accordingly.

Everyone's opinion is their right. As is challenging it.

I always think that when somebody replies along the lines of "at least I didn't insult other posters" it's because they don't have any defence to their ACTUAL argument.

And I see you're been careful to define yourself as a dancer so I'm sure you think this means your critique is more valid whereas I don't.
You're entitled to be, what seems to me, mean spirited and unnecessarily critical and I'm entitled to think the dance was really good and most enjoyable.

Jay fans are not the Jaypets. Jay is Jaypet. Just like Chelsee was Chelseepet and Gavin was Gavbot

With all due respect, I think this particular bit of information can only be possibly interesting to Jay fans. Therefore, it belongs in attic in his appreciation thread. Fans of other contestants will not care in the slightest about this. At all.

And I am putting this as politely as I can.

Most of the forum obviously disagree as he has over 63% of the votes on The Best Dance of the Night Poll as is also way in the lead on Favourite Couple Poll but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It wouldn't do for us all to like the same thing.

There ought to be a prize for most irrelevant post, you'd walk it?
