Not petty really, especially since Len focused on missed heel leads last week on a performance I actually felt was better then last nights.

I didn't feel the overall performance tbh, so then, for me, I start to notice little flaws a bit more then if I did feel it was a wonderful performance.

Also since it was a rumba, I would have been more impressed if a top latin coach or world champion had tweeted about it.”

He has indeed tweeted positive things about K and K. I'm not sure how that takes anything away from his affection for Jay .

I don't think the opinion of a top ballroom or latin coach would be any more valid or impressive with respect to the emotional content of the dance than Matthew Bourne's. He was moved by the performance and said it was romantic and touching. I think he knows what he's talking about on that score.

Much the same as Jay's Rumba 😄

Most of the board have said they didn't like his dance, so you're clearly not on your own.”

Not true...most have said they loved it.

It doesn't, but I was quite amused since some people (but not all) who like Jay are not so keen on Kellie (or Kevin) to put it mildly.

Fair enough, I'll give you that one, since his tweet is about performance and emotional content, rather than technical.

Yeah, but he always walks that.

I'm a fan of his, but I did laugh at someone last week saying he could do the hokey cokey and he would still come out top on who danced it best.

For me there was a lot missing and he could have done so much more with his lines as he has it all there.

To get a compliment like that from such an experienced and well renowned figure in the dance world as Matthew Bourne is something Jay and Aliona must be proud of. It was just beautiful dancing with no lovely costumes or big production to help, just their own interpretation of a love story.

Everyone's opinion is their right. As is challenging it.

I always think that when somebody replies along the lines of "at least I didn't insult other posters" it's because they don't have any defence to their ACTUAL argument.

And I see you're been careful to define yourself as a dancer so I'm sure you think this means your critique is more valid whereas I don't.
You're entitled to be, what seems to me, mean spirited and unnecessarily critical and I'm entitled to think the dance was really good and most enjoyable.”

Talk about being mean spirited and unnecessarily critical, I would look at your own posts towards other people.

Wow, how mean are you to someone who has just seen a dance and had a critique on it it deserves.
