' Im A Strictly Lumberjack And I'm OK ! ' - Strictly Costume Disasters For You ?

When was the last time a celebrity got up late and turned up unshaven dressed as a lumberjack and danced woodenly on the show like that and got nines? There must be secret powers of hypnosis at work.

What Costume disasters from the past stick in your mind ?

What are the best costumes from the past that you can remember ?

How are the costume department doing for you this year ?

Jay tried his best but Michael Vaughan's mad axe jive remains Strictly's finest lumberjack experience. Hands down.

Forgot to answer the question. The wardrobe employees apparently got out of the lift at Kitchenware instead of Haberdashery

I'm sorry you're feeling the loss of Peter so badly, Terry, and have to spend your empty days creating pointless wind-up threads.

Don't worry though, Christmas is coming and Iceland ads are all over our TVs, so you can still get your fix of the orange-faced, stompy-footed old cheeseball

Peter's Rupert the Bear get up (whilst catching flies) takes some beating.

What do you think he should have worn?

I've watched One in the West End and someone who is a struggling musician/ hoover mender type / poor young bloke isn't going to wear designer flashy outfits?

It was a crappy looking outfit for any dance other than a square dance to "Cotton eyed joe" , but it was in keeping with the theme of the musical they opted for/were allocated , so no point in blaming wardrobe or him for this one .
On the plus side , buying his outfit from primark left more in the kitty for lots of red organza and frilly trim for kellie's feminine flouncey dress . Swings and roundabouts .
Worst costumes . Virtually every kellie one . The dog one kirsty had inflicted on her . The pirate one that peter wore .Anita's jive outfit. Jeremy's cowboy outfit , and that horse .

Jay still sporting the unshaven lumberjack look on It Takes Two, at least it was a different lumberjack shirt I guess, they did look like a pair of smitten young lovers though.

Now I'm not generally very keen on Aliona but I thought that was a lovely interview where they both came over well.

Have to agree with you there Terry, watching their rumba again on ITT tonight, I felt it was like dancing by numbers, there was no flow at all. Amazed at all the raving over it.

and the halloween one, where the makeup was just horrendous and probably had a lot to do with her getting the old heave ho. The bacofoil outfit for Brendan's partner's showdance was pretty 'memorable'.
For me, a big no no are any brown dresses.

Errrr.... yes, I know that.

I was under the impression that the thread title referred to all or any perceived costume disasters on the show...

Did you actually read the entire text of the OP - or does absolutely everything in this forum now have to be distilled down to make it all about only one contestant?

A kindred spirit .
I have a hatred of brown dresses . I know it's irrational but they just never look apt to my eyes . None of the vibrancy of bright colours and none of the classy look of black or white . Just sludgy somewhere in between . Was it janette who wore a brown stripey dress ? I think it was, but they showed it on ITT and my heart sank .
Just scrolled through the clips quickly and brown is rarely used .
Oh dear, they're going to put kellie in brown aren't they ?
