I hope so.

It's a bit manic on here tonight.

Katie did say at the start that she was most looking forward to Samba, which makes me wonder but I still think both will Charleston”

I do hope so, I love Anton's charleston, but for the last few years he has choreographed amusing ones to suit his duff partners. I hope he does a really quirky one that will still amuse me enormously but be set at the right level for Katie.

A floaty walz and a quirky charleston would be my dream choice.

By point has been proved because you've pointed out (quite rightly) that the Waltz and Charleston are the easiest dances, so she has been given an easy ride in the semi final and will probably make the final as a result.

In that case so has Jay with the VW and Charleston. VW and Waltz are difficult in their simplicity, they are very easy to do badly!! If like they say the pros decide in some way the order of their dances both Aliona and Anton have been very clever in their choices.

They're only easy dances if danced properly and well.

So the same rule has been applied to each contestant and nobody has been let off anything.”

Everybody has been let off something! Your post makes no sense at all! If they'd all been let off the same dance then you might have a point, but they haven't.

Both the waltz and the Charleston will expose lack of skill / technique more than any other dance so dancing them at this stage of the competition is a substantial test.

It's easy to do a poor version of either dance but doing a good one clearly separates the wheat from the chaff.
