What happened to the Raven?

In Face the Raven it was made clear that there was no possible way to escape it taking you: using quantum shenanigans, it would get you anywhere in space and time.

Clara was pulled out of the way. The Raven didn't get her. Why didn't it find her?

I mean, if it was that easy, they could've just bundled her in the Tardis and legged it in the first place.

The raven still kills her at exactly the same time.

The Raven will get her. She's been effectively "paused" and will be killed by the Raven as soon as she returns to Gallifrey and the Time Lords effectively press "play".

In which case, the doctor should have really not wanted her heart to start beating!

I really hope it gets her soon. I dread the episode where they turn up again in a flying diner.

Problem is unless Coleman comes back to the show it wont.

The Doctor was being emotional I think because he didn't want to lose Clara. But she's still dying and will face that death whenever she's ready.

We've already see it. It's already happened, and is a fixed point.

The death we saw happened after whatever adventures she has now, we just didn't realise at the time that there was X amount of time between her walking towards the raven and her dying.

That's a very good point.

The nature of time travel changes as the story dictates, but they do frequently use the "Everything that happens, happens" thing in as much as they haven't changed the past - we just didn't see what really happened.

Yup, Dr Who is pretty cheeky in that it arbitrarily uses whichever version of theoretical time travel it wants - when it wants to do the "Everything only happens, once. Nothing can be "changed" because whatever action is done has already occurred" version, it used the murky "fixed point" idea.

Nothing it still kills her the way it did it's just at that time we didn't know from her POV many more years had passed.

So is time on Gallifrey exactly following the time on earth? Does the Doctor just travel from point to point in space not time?

The Daleks did not invade earth until 2150 I seem to remember from the 60's film, so they would have fought the time war far in the future to have the technology.

Yet on Gallifrey the time war is in the past, although they moved the planet to the end of time for this episode.

Complicated stuff this time travel thing.

The Raven has another high profile credit on imdb and is considering other options. Game of Thrones have expressed an interest. Result.

It decided it would never kill anyone any more, so it retired and went to live with Edgar Allen Poe.

What happens to it if Clara 'dies' while having an adventure with Maisie?

She probably can't. Poor girl doesn't even have a pulse.

What if she gets injured? Does her body instantly reset itself? For the same reason, she probably can't even change her hairstyle.

lol

Does she age at all? I guess not. Is there anything stopping her flying around with Maisie for the rest of time? Can she even poo?

The more I think about it the worse it becomes. What a load of old s***e.

I really want closure. I really wanted a scene which interlocks with the scene where she gets killed by the raven... so we know that she went back and the universe is saved. Sounds ridiculous really i know...

Would it also mean that she would have to avoid earth? Additionally Surely there are long term issues for her with her being "dead" and brought forward 4.3 billion years later? I mean coming to think about it, it must be pretty grim... knowing your basically dead and not having a heartbeat and all the other issues.

You *saw* that scene! It was how "Face the Raven" ended. I'm really not sure if anyone was paying attention. The entire plot of "Hell Bent" with Clara and any further adventures happens during that slow mo bit before the raven enters and kills her. We've already seen it. She has to die as Rigsy then does his graffiti tribute on the TARDIS which we see at the end of "Hell Bent". If she hadn't returned and died as we saw at the end of "Face the Raven", then there'd be no tribute.

It's starring in a Saturday night ITV entertainment show, cue Paddy McGuinness

"Right Sally, you've banked £3,200, which you could lose. Do you still want to go for the £20,000 jackpot?"
"Yes Paddy!"

{audience applause}

"Brilliant, and good luck. Sally...it's time to Face the Raven!"

No. Clara herself said if she didn't go back and die it would tear time and space apart.

She died in face the Raven in a trap street in London as we all saw in the episode. It happened.

It's just that the second before she died she ran off and had a load of adventures in her very own tardis with Ashildr.

But unless next time we see Doctor Who it's just a blank screen due to the fabric of time and space having been ripped apart then it's safe to say Clara died in Face The Raven.

The Raven will be the big villain in the upcoming Clara/Ashildir spin off.

Can the Raven travel through time and space? If not, why didn't the Doctor just whisk her away earliar?
