Absolutely agree. They clearly wanted Anita to be in the DO
![]() It would serve BBC and Craig right if by fluke Anita won, which I don't think she will.

There is reason for Anita getting through it was due to Craig giving her low mark and his comments, that got her in the semi thanks from the public

Why not? Helen was second from bottom on the leaderboard and two have to be in the dance-off. In terms of points, it's perfectly reasonable she was one of them.
Georgia was a bit of a surprise but how often has the person right at the bottom been saved? Plenty. So overall not that much of a shocker. When you have a series where there's so many already goods ones, you're bound to get eliminations like tonight's near the end. They can't all stay. |

Exactly. The competition only started nearly 3-4 months ago. Just because some people have danced longer and might seem better, doesn't mean the person who started fro 0 and is dancing well is bad and doesn't deserve their place.

I hope you are not comparing Anita to John Sargent. My problem with Craig is that he is a hypocrite. Georgia can make mistakes and he will never mention and give her his highest mark and Jay who had danced so well and he was pedantic and even Len got mad. Bruno is also the same will never mention her mistakes or down play them.
This is really unfair. Just to point out what happens when the judges go a bit over the top with comments about less than able dancers. |

Yes and anyone who starts from 0 experience and has worked hard to become a dancer like Anita has as much right if not more IMO. I also think Helen should be a lot better than she really was.
I can watch her dance. |

True. I had rather a person from 0 win than others with previous experience. That is why it really makes me angry when these judges cuddle their favourites with past experience and abuse a person who had made such progress and is very good.
I can watch her dance. |

He was right. He was aiming it at both of them. It's the biggest shocker of a DO for a long time and neither deserved to be there - yet.

Exactly. It wouldn't hurt Craig to praise Anita for achieving so much. I too could watch Anita more than some of the others.

Based on the judges scores Helen actually should have been in the DO (albeit not with Georgia). So I'm not sure how Craig can blame the public for putting her there!

Yes he was right - Anita was the weakest dancer over the past two weeks and Helen, up to this week, was the contestant who had accumulated tho higher scores over the previous 10 weeks. The dance off should have been between Anita and Katie IMO - but we are where we are - minus a contestant who was talented enough to be in the final - because the public voted for Anita and Katie on sympathetic and sentimental grounds

tonight Craig has really annoyed me for blaming the public for putting Georgia & Helen into the dance off so who does think we want in the dance off them and up the public to vote for whoever we want
![]() Just because the Judges Favourite(sp) Georgia was in the Dance off there is no need have a go at the Viewers and there Voting habits that put her there so Craig shame on you ![]() Take a look at the leaderboard and do the maths!!! The public put Georgia into the dance off by failing to vote for her. That's how Strictly works. Craig just says it as it is.. What you hear is what you get. You should know that by now. |

All I remember him saying is 'it's the public eho have put you here, not us!!) Hardly insulting the public, just stating a very true fact!!
As has already been mentioned, as long as the public keep engaging in 'tactical voting' just to keep in their favourites, shocks like tonight will happen, though let's be honest here, based solely on Saturday's performance Helen made a couple of glaring errors in a dance that was never going to be ideally suited to her so the 8 Craig gave her was hardly unfair anyway!! Georgia should never have been anywhere near the bottom two, full stop!! |

It is not just a dance competition. It is also an entertainment show. Maybe the GBP were just not entertained by Helen. I know I wasn't. And if the BBC only want trained dancers then they shouldn't keep the competition open to novices. All I can say is that I hope Anita is very proud of herself. Well done to her. I agree with the above post. I don't care about the technical side of the dancing as much (a bit but not as much as some). Especially when you see some of them doing moves like slick solo spins that so clearly show that they have notable previous training (e.g. Jay and Georgia). Ultimately I mostly base my opinion on who I enjoy watching most, with maybe their personality playing a part (I don't vote incidentally). Of those left the two who I have generally not enjoyed watching are Helen and Georgia. So tonight was the perfect scenario for me. I suspect Georgia will get a DO bounce now though and still think she could win. I wouldn't be that bothered if she did but it would feel a bit meh, like when Abbey and Caroline won. Helen I found a bit awkward when not doing ballroom (her Charleston was maybe the worst I have seen) and her Paso was awful. Georgia is good but I just find her boring. The weird thing with Helen was that she is an actress yet often acted the dances very badly. Her Paso face was rather cringey. The one who acts the dances best (despite not being an actress) is Anita in my opinion. I always enjoy watching her and appreciate the zero experience aspect. I would like to see Jay, Anita, Katie, and Kellie in the final with Anita winning. It's all just different opinions and people enjoying the show for different reasons.

According to their scoring these are who they felt should be bottom 2:
Craig: Anita and either Katie/Helen. Darcy: Helen and Anita Len: any 2 of Helen/Katie/Kellie/Anita/Georgia. Bruno: Anita plus one of Georgia/Kellie/Katie/Helen. All the judges had Helen as bottom 2 potential and 50% of them Georgia. If they can't make their minds up, don't have a go at the voters! ![]()
