“Strictly embroiled in ANOTHER fix row with viewers outraged over 'better dancer' Helen George being booted off show

Twitter’s gone into meltdown as viewers accuse the vote of being rigged

There’s been plenty of talk about Strictly Come Dancing being fixed this year – and on Sunday the rumour mill went into overdrive as one of the favourite contestants to win, Helen George, was sensationally booted off the show.”

One of the favourites to win? What bookies are they using?

I think the phrase they were looking for was "Helen fans going into meltdown" on Twitter, not "viewers". Lots were sad she went, but not surprised, including me.

Helen was second from last to win with the bookies last night?

What a pile of

How on earth can it be a fix that a dancer who was in the bottom two with the judges and didn't have popular support to escape, faces a dancer who was 2nd, then goes home?

Talk about desperation for a headline!

I suppose 'Dancer placed second from bottom by Judges voted off contest' doesn't have quite the shokka factor?

considering Helen was second from the bottom on the leader board, I wouldn't say it was a fix at all

she didn't get the votes - nothing to do with the judges!

It was very hard to call over who would leave, Helen upper her game and did a better dance than in the main show BUT overall, if I had been a judge, I would have saved Georgia

I thought her foxtrot was absolutely beautiful

She was second from bottom on the leader board. As for Georgia, Kellies tumbled down the board to be in the dance off before so why not Georgia.

Oh for craps sake.

Stop trying to make another Jamelia happen.

It won't be beaten, Helen won't do airquotes on Monday or anything.

I'm devastated Helen went, but Georgia was better on the night.

The public voting for underdogs made this happen like every other year we get a shock dance off. If you don't want to be shocked then vote for the great dancers.

There will be a revolution when Jay is booted out of the competition.

Didn't think it counted as booted out when you picked up the mirrorball at the end?

Isnt Helen also a BBC employee? Last time I checked Call The Midwife was on the beeb.

Typical sour grapes and dummy spitting. If your favourite is in the dance off then you need to vote for them. This isnt rocket science

It's a silly TV show, hardly worth fixing.

I was truly shocked to find Georgia in the DO, as she would be my choice to win, she has done brilliantly so far. But in all honesty I could not have said who was the better dancer in the DO it was very evenly matched, so don't know where the 'fixed' theory comes in. I was so relieved it was Georgia who got through though.

The desperation of the tabs to have something outrageous & scandalous to write about is really reaching ridiculous levels now.

I'm convinced half of them must lurk on here.

It always amuses me when the media report on what's happening on Twitter as if 'Twitter' is an important country somewhere and not just a load of people expressing opinions!

I love Helen, I voted for Helen 5 times - but sadly others didn't. That said despite what Craig says it was as much the judges fault that she went, if she didn't deserve to be in the dance-off then why was she ranked second from bottom? Total hypocrisy as I've come to expect, but calling it a fix is clutching at straws. I think the main problem facing Helen and Georgia is that a lot of people who like them, like Jay more and vote according... you can't save them all!

I wish the Great British Public would make its mind up. It's a fix when the judges overmark their favourites and so artificially keep them safe and now it's a fix when Helen is 2nd from bottom for a poor dance and so ends up in the dance off. Georgia for whatever reason is not as popular and so did not get enough votes. Whilst Anita and Kellie may not be technically perfect, they are entertaining and clearly that's what people have voted for. People should just accept it for what it is - entertainment. Let's get this in perspective- It's not life or death. Helen still has a job; she'll go on the tour and she has a new skill to add to her portfolio. She'll be fine.
