I agree with both of you. If there ever was a crush, it's long gone. I think Anita has found the last few weeks tough because of what Gleb is asking her as a non dancer to do, but it's her natural attitude to rise to the challenge. To some extent, any technique she has slips as she tries to do the showy moves choreographed by Gleb. Her repeatedly saying she just does what she's told to do speaks volumes to me.

Reading between the lines (dangerous I know), it sounds like he gives Wardrobe a hard time over Anita's costumes. Thinking about it makes me wonder if he will be asked back.

I'd pretty much agree with this (although I'm still not forgiving you for the Spike/JJ thing on the NAT ), I think the interview on Friday she did with Kate and Jay on the balcony did seem to give it away to an extent IMO.

But Anita is completely professional and will not let it get in the way of her doing as well as she can.

I watched it out to the end...........it didnt get any better ........ they should have stuck to making sandcastles

( seriously, they are both very good, but too overly dramatic for me )

I read that he has zero interest in being in the public eye, to the extent that she won't even say what his name is. Interview in the Telegraph 'revealed' that he's a 'tech' for an ad agency, been married 6 years and is Indian.

Thanks.
Wow. Okay interesting. I genuinely had no idea. Good for them, I guess.

Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it?”

I get the feeling she wants to put his nuts in a nutcracker...

Fancy him? Are you kidding? Mr Plastic Fantastic Brainless Hoofer? Que?

Anita is a beautiful, intelligent, successful presenter with a husband and a real career.

I suspect she detests Glen, thinks he is an utter prat and can't wait for the day when she says, ' thanks for all the fish' and walks away.

Why oh why do people persist on imaging all kinds of imaginary crushes on SCD?

I think they have a working relationship that has its easier weeks when the dance is going well and more fractious ones when it isn't.

Yes, more she wants to crush him than has a crush on him.... Only he looks like he'd probably enjoy it...

Snap! Gave up at exactly the same place!

I can see where he gets all his floor bothering from now....

I think this is one pairing that has definitely not forged a friendship for life!

(Incidentally I wonder how many of the 'friends for life' that we hear about at SCD farewells ever make it past the first year?)

I don't see it at all. At best I think she's treating it as a job with a demanding boss; very occasionally (such as Friday's ITT and the odd training room glimpse) I think she's one step away from bashing his head in with his own comedy truncheon. When she is asked about their working relationship she mostly talks in the platitudes you'd expect from a contestant, but occasionally giving the impression (to me, anyway) that she is saying the minimum amount of positive spin she can get away with.

This is a woman who can seem genuinely interested in listening to some Shropshire autist droning on and on about traditional gooseberry jam making methods, every Sunday morning. Who can truly say what lies at the heart of Rani?

Anita is a smart girl. I suspect she finds Gleb a bit self-obsessed and tbh thick. They look good together on the dance floor but I suspect that is as far as it goes.

No I really don't think so. I think TPTB meant her too what with the whole "the laydeeez cant even be in the room as Gleb without their knickers falling to the floor~ shtick we've had to put up with

Anita strikes me as very determined and very smart and I think she thinks he's good looking but a bit of self obsessed arse. She's professional so she's getting on with it but a crush? no i don't think so

I think a fair few of them do - off the top of my head going by Twitter, Scott & Joanne seem to be really good mates, Pixie & Trent have worked together several times and spent time together socially, and didn't Karen help Mark Wright with his wedding dance? That's just from last year.

Of course for some 'friends for life' = 'thank god I don't have to see this idiot ever again!'

I loved him in the USA but now I'm wondering if it was because his 50-something duffer Lisa Vanderpump was so lovely and interesting. Is he inscrutable or is there just no there there?

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about re: Gleb. I find him a bit 'meh'.

Totally agree with others here, maybe when they very first met, but things on ITT like her VT saying something like - he can shout and scream and flutter his eyelashes at me all he wants, but all I want him to do is teach me to dance, I think give away her real feelings. Think she goes along with the 'isn't Gleb the most beautiful man ever' think as it's now becoming a part of the show script.

I think they do get on well and are a great team, both very focussed and determined.

As well as the ones already mentioned, Lisa Riley was there when Robin and his then-fiance got engaged; Judy Murray took Anton to Wimbledon in June as her guest to watch one of Andy's matches; I remember reading quite recently that Erin and Julian Clary have stayed friends, and Camilla Dallerup was still in touch with Roger Black last year.

Professional floor botherer! Love it

Oh and I don't know if she has a crush on Gleb or not. I think maybe it's more of a hero worshipping type thing in a mentor way.
