I know lots of people wanted to see Forsyth go but he had control, unlike the girls now. Even when Ronnie Corbett took over it was good, because he had charisma

"no control"? The show runs on time (Claudia jokily speeded up the judges on the quickstepathon) and the celebs and pros don't run amok. If you mean that they seem to have fun and so does everyone else then I like "no control" very much.
Corbett was awful. No thanks.

It's a show that needs to be 'showed' and with personality

Which is what Tess (show) and Claudia (personality) do.

Ronnie Corbett was truly dire, and I swear to God and all his angels if Bruce came back I would boycott the show. He is a tremendously atrocious presenter nowadays.

I was never a fan of Ronnie Corbett or Bruce.

Times move on. Thank goodness.

I'm happy with Tess and Claudia. The only irritating thing on the show now is the fuss they make during the terms and conditions. It was never a big deal before, and some of the youngest and oldest fans of the show might need the reminder.

Absolutely not suggesting him! Poor Tess has no control over the show or the judges. It's just not her bag. She's not controlling enough, and has no experience, apart from SMTV

Forsyth wanted it to be all about him, and although I like Corbett as a comedian, he was an appalling host, and the charisma was sadly lacking, he was embarrassing. .

"She has no experience apart from SMTV."

So actually doing Strictly ever since it started and being main host for the last two years isn't experience? She controls events just fine, when does it ever overrun or descend into a shambles?

You're obviously not watching the same show as the rest of us. She had to control the previous presenter for the whole time he was on the show. If she hadn't, none of the judges would have had time to comment and the show would have occupied two hours instead of one. She's had 12 years experience before this series and keeps it slick and running on time.

You are quite right. I just rewatched one of the dances from 2011 when Bruce was host. It just showed how awful he was then compared to how smoothly it runs now.. He rambled on and on while the dancers were waiting to hear the judges and there was only time to hear one judge's comments before they were rushed upstairs.

This is all very confusing, why have you created two threads on the same subject, and even more confusing why have you named the other thread after you?

I love Tess and Claudia, they are 1000% better than the old fosil Forsythe, Claudia takes the micky out of herself and Tess does a cracking job as the main presenter - love them both

Tess and Claudia do a brilliant job, the show gets 11 million viewers, the best LE show on TV, all year.

And for those who suggest change, look at Caroline and Olly on XF, that show has died due to panic changes, down in the low six million viewers.

The Terms & Conditions is now one of the best bits of the show.

That made me smile. Still it's an opinion, I don't mind.

Actually he had no control whatsoever!

It was Tess who kept the show running to time, reading the auto-cue rapidly to make up for the time he spent faffing about, trying to draw attention to himself with his stupid jokes. How many times did they have to miss out a judge's comment (hang on.....not a bad thing really) because he'd wasted so much time?

As for Ronnie Corbett, big mistake! He was even worse, at times it looked as if he didn't know what day it was, let alone what he was supposed to be doing!

Whatever anyone says, it now runs to time, both Tess and Claudia following the director's verbal instructions through their ear-pieces, when they need to get a move-on. Bruce wouldn't wear one, the floor manager had to wave at him, but he rarely took any notice.

I love that, I bet it was Claudia who started to ham it up a bit and the producer thought it so good it's been "expanded."

I love Claudia. Not so fussed on Tess but I'm sure she is encouraged to do things like 'we all loved it' and I think she does a fine job as the 'straight' host.

If anyone on the show needs changing, for me its the judges who are not only biased and poor at their job, but their tired phrases and puns are beyond stale now.

I think Tess and Claudia make a great team. I wouldn't change a thing.
