Guidance Needed

I am in a quandary.

I am worried that if I cast my vote incorrectly I may be the cause of the wrong contestant(s) ending in the dance off this week-end, thereby causing upset to Craig and/or other judges or forum contributors.

I'm concerned that if I vote for Jay, then it might cause Georgia to be in the dance off again. If I vote for Anita or Katie might this cause Jay to be at risk, or if I vote for Kellie could this mean we are going to be subjected to another episode of Knees up Mother Brown?

We need to have some clear voting guidelines - perhaps a voting convention - so we know exactly how we should be voting to ensure the right people are in the dance off, one of whom will then be eliminated. Perhaps Claudia and her gang could add these guidelines to the terms and conditions on Saturday night - that would be helpful.

P.S. When casting my vote, what consideration should I be giving (if any) as to whether I actually liked the dance and performance? Always a tricky one that.

It is indeed a tricksy question, one I manage to avoid by deliberately watching the show on catch up so I don't have to wrestle with it

That raises another option Cadiva - voting with hindsight.

This is the type of vote to which Craig refers when he comments on "Sunday''s" results show.

I'll just pm you my favourite on the night and you can vote for them.

Thanks Craig - that's a good idea.

That's probably the best way to avoid any accusations of manipulation of the public vote.

In need of a laugh today, thank you......

I find that using my ovaries to decide how to vote often solves the problem. Although it tends to annoy some DS posters, I find the judges don't seem to mind.

So, your ovaries are the cause of Georgia and Helen being in the dance off at the
week-end.

There's absolutely no eggscuse for such actions. Voters will be hatching all sorts of plans for voting tactically now, although I suspect some of them may not come to fruition until the start of the next series, i.e. about 9 months time.

It will eggstraordinary if ovaries are not the cause of another shock exit next week. No doubt we can look forward to the usual pregnant pause while Tess waits to announce who is in the dance off, as she clucks about like mother hen trying to keep the judges under control.

Will Craig be as hard boiled with his opinions as he usually is? Will Bruno be falling over easy if he gets a bit over excited and will Darcey's hormones be scrambled once again if Jay dances an emotional waltz?

It might be getting to the business end of the competition but even though the dancers will be focused, I am sure we can look forward to Zoe keeping her sunny side up on ITT this week.

I try to keep it simple and vote for who I like.

Some people try to be too clever with their voting. They assume their favourite is safe and vote to save the underdog. Or they split their votes leaving their favourite vulnerable. Of course people can do what they want, but don't act shocked if your favourite ends up in the bottom two. I suspect too many voters went for Anita on Saturday purely because Craig, who was just being honest, was perceived to be nasty to her. It's a wonder that we haven't ended up with Peter, Jamelia, Anita and Jeremy in the final.
