Yeah, that Kara and that Caroline were horrid cows. 🙄

That's rubbish. Georgia's cute, Helen's doll-like, Anita beautiful, Kellie has a great figure, Katie's posh totty....they're all gorgeous! As were Alesha, Abbey, Kara etc who WON.

I can't see Georgia having a VW this week as her AS was VW based so that leaves the AT and Cha Cha, both of which could be great dances for her because an AT should have the same kind of intensity/chemistry their Rhumba hinted at and the Cha Cha the same exhuberance as their Charleston, if she can nail the choreography they could both be wow rather than nice/sweet dances for her which the AS/VW and Foxtrot by their nature have been so she could pull in floating voters, fingers crossed I hope she smashes it this week and being in the dance off may not necessarily have been a bad thing because in a way it takes the pressure off, people can sometimes start to resent someone whose constantly at the top of the leader board or near as dammit , you only have to have read some of the comments here over the last few weeks to see that, now she's no longer a favourite so it's okay to maybe throw her a vote now because she deserves it, instead of I'm not voting for her she's pretty, she's too good a dancer and threat, who knows, it's in the hands of the GBP and they can be as fickle as they can be loyal, I just hope she gets to the end, Jay's going to win, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion unless there's a huge anti-jay vote at the very end

I havent been the biggest fan of Georgia but she is a fantastic dancer, her and Giovanni have a great relationship. I think she was in the bottom 2 this week because she went on first and danced the foxtrot I also think some of her fans may have voted for Anita as they could be splitting and also people thinking she was safe. I have no doubt she will be in the final though because even if she was in the dance off next week the judges would definitely save her. I think her being in the bottom 2 will wake her fans up and will vote more to make sure she is in the final.

In fact if it was only based on that dance, I probably would have saved Helen but I'm glad that Georgia was saved because I've generally enjoyed her dances. Hopefully it was just an average week and they'll be back to their best next week. I certainly wouldn't discount them from the final or even winning it based on that dance.”

I have to admit as a Corrie fanatic I was rooting for Georgia from day one but quite apart from that her joy & enthusiasm infected me straight away, though there were better dancers at the start!! From that Hallowe'en tango though she has added dancing ability too& has just got better & better!! Her samba, Amarican Smooth & THAT Charleston have been my favourite 3 dances of the series (well add Jay's jive & Anita's paso & call it my favourite 5!!)
All that said, when I watched that dance on saturday night, graceful & technically good as it was I thought 'hmm, don't know if that was enough at this stage!' & wasn't that surprised the public didn't vote for it!!
Don't know what dances she has next week but I really hope it's something her & Gio can wow us all with again as I think it would be a real travesty if they don't make the final & I think if they can get to do a showdance in the final it would be an absolute joy & dare I say it a potential winner, especially if they can do that Charleston again as well!!

Your comment may be true, but it implies that more women than men vote for their favourite dancer. Do you think this is in fact the case?

Based on absolutely no hard evidence at all, I'd say far more women than men vote.

Very few of the men I know even watch the show, much less vote. The women, on the other hand, nearly all watch (and some say they vote.)

Of course women vote for sweet women ... for a start Georgia would have been in a dance off earlier if she wasn't voted for. For another we've had winners like Kara, Abbey and Caroline and finalists like Frankie, Sophie and Ali (not technically a finalist but third which would make her one these days.) All gorgeous women and very nice with it. A couple of years ago we had a final full of lovely women.

Georgia's fans either thought she was safe or .. more likely .. thought Anita needed the votes.
The dance was uninspiring though. I saw it twice but can't remember it.

Gleb & Anita will come out all guns blazing and the audience seem to respond to that. G&G will have to step up if they want people to vote. I'm guessing they will get a bounce this week .. though it's tight now. In any case, I expect the judges will save.

Yes, because she and Jay are the best dancers by a mile. It's already a poorer final because Helen won't be there.

I think Georgia's a great dancer, but she just doesn't excite me - I don't think any of her dances have been standouts, I hated her overmarked mess of a Samba and I think I'd just be indifferent to her winning. But I'd say the same about the other remaining female celebs, and she is at least a far better dancer than all of them.

I don't think her dances this week do her any favours though.

BIB - Really?!!! That's just about my favourite dance of hers!

She is a lovely, sweet girl and I will be voting for her. She's clearly the best of the female dancers.

Agree that she is the best of the female celebs and I vote for her despite her being sweet.

Mine too....and would definitely rate it as stand-out too Funny how differently we can see things. It certainly impressed the audience and the judges and my reaction was similar.

My favourite too. I loved the too-long intro and the slightly scary huh moment that was long enough for several more 'huhs' before

BAMM!!!

I love it!

The band and the singers and the hips and the exploding poppy and everything

My favourite of hers was her Tango. It was when I first really noticed her. Mind you can't remember a single dance before that, and was underwhelmed by her foxtrot, preferred watching the teapot.

She is a great dancer though, nothing against her at all, and looking forward to her Cha Cha.

BIB - I love that description - I didn't notice it the first time round so unfortunately I was forced into watching it a second time and third and fourth and so on I was not watching Giovanni's hypnotic hips!!!

She first stood out for me with her disco salsa.

I feel she's just the best female celeb this series at both the latin and the ballroom as she is consistently good at both whereas the other ladies seem to have hit and miss moments.

Jay the terrified boy can dance!

Katie IS Anton's last chance!
Kellie is marmite with bells on!

Georgia, what's her story? She's an actress (her CV says) but the show didn't give her a script”

I am baffled by this BIB. My colleagues who aren't devoted viewers always mention "the chirpy pretty little northerner" even if they can't remember her name, and the ones that can remember her name remember her Charleston and Ghostbusters routine- which is one more routine than they can remember of Jay's.

Personally, I vividly remember her Samba (and I never remember sambas) and her week 1 jive which showed how good she clearly was. For me, this "forgettable" tag feels like a bit of an urban myth. And that she landed in the DO as a result of the combination of going first and thus missing out on a ten, and there being a tie on the board which probably helped save Anita and/or Katie at Georgia's expense.

And let's not forget that Alesha ended up in the QF DO as well.

Apologies if these points have already been covered- it's late and I only read the first page.

Like most people i would be happy if Georgia, Jay or Anita won. She is very good and it will all come down to the dances in the final. I would guess Kellie will be going this week

Yes, really - it was far too frenetic, incredibly messy and off-balance and I was baffled that it got such a rapturous reception. Good on her for trying hard with a difficult, packed routine, but there was far too much in it and it didn't seem well-executed to me. Plus wardrobe must have had an argument with her that week, her costume was ghastly. She's done some good dances, but that samba was not one of them. Still by far the best female dancer in the competition though, and if she doesn't end up in the final 3 it'll be a travesty.

Sadly she's not doing the Cha Cha - she's got the AT instead!

Well, I saw what the audience and judges saw, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that one. Loved her dress too and was perfectly suited to the dance Giovannis hips were just an added bonus to the whole thing

Won't argue about her being the best female dancer in the competiiton - in terms of consistency, technique, performance, storytelling and challenging routines - easily beats the others.

She is doing the Cha cha - got changed last minute. Only hope training time has not been lost and Giovanni isn't stessed out his head doing a new routine.

Ah sorry, hadn't seen that!

It's already Wednesday - why on earth has it been changed?! She's going to be at a huge disadvantage if she didn't start working on it yesterday...

And to top it all off, she's unwell now!

That doesn't sound promising. I was hoping for her to be first/second on the leaderboard with no ties below and a decent bottom two bounce to get her through without a dance-off, but if she's not able to train then either one or both of her dances risks being well below power, and I suspect if she's anything lower than 2nd (or maybe even 1st) on the leaderboard she'll be in trouble...
