As a dancer you nod, say thank you and I will work on that, you don't presume to know better then a judge.
What did she say to Craig? I must have missed that as I was fast forwarding a lot this week.

Quite. Katie has been called smug for her reaction to an onslaught of criticism too. Both Anita and Katie have reacted well by keeping quiet and seeming to accept the critique whilst maintaining their dignity. Sometimes the criticism is humiliating either in content or amount, as for Anita from Craig.
I would love to see Anita in the final, but Gleb has not corrected her feet and they were flexed in all her lifts and flat footed in parts.

Yes she has not had dance training, but these errors should have been corrected by now and Craig is right to pick her up on them.

Why would I be nervous?

It's just an observation, I actually said it a few weeks back in the five thoughts thread after her rhumba, she didn't take judging well.
Because she is a threat to your favourite?

Well, quite. I'd imagine if the OP* was hauled up at work and given a detailed list of her failings in front of her colleagues, she wouldn't be beaming from ear to ear.

*that's assuming the OP is old enough to be employed, of course.
I am thank you and as a dancer I have had to take criticism infront of an audience whilst on stage and smile through it.

I wasn't really a fan of Helen and I said the same thing on Saturday night about Anita this week on the five thoughts.
I'm guessing you didn't get the response that you were hoping for there either, so decided to dedicate an entire thread to your unpopular opinion and baseless accusations.

I often think I'm out of sync with most people and the OP is an example. I love that Anita shows she is bothered by criticism and low marks. She's not an actress able to put on an appropriate face no matter what. Who wouldn't? She's spent all week working really hard and then performed something that must be entirely out of her comfort zone.

I'm interested to know what your opinion is of the others when they get disappointing scores. How do you think they react?
Can't say I've noticed any of them looking particularly pleased when they get low marks or criticised but maybe they should plaster a false smile on and punch the air with joy just for the sake of not getting forum threads like this made up in their name.
Well they look upset or disappointed, she looked like 'oh really?', like she deserved more.
A bit like Kirsty also reacted to scores.

But as many have pointed out Anita isn't even a dancer so your argument isn't valid

Oh another one who thinks because they are a "dancer" theor opinion is more relevant...

Well I did tap dancing for about five minutes when I was six, and I can assure you most people don't give a shit. It's an entertainment show not a professional competition.

I don't mind at all, I'm not one of these fans who is obsessed by everything to do with the show or a threat to their one.

I like Jay, but if you read my posts I hated the rhumba and I actually voted for Georgia instead, so I have no firm favourite.
I was also most happy Kellie went through above all else.

I am not like that, this is just what I observed.

No, just saw it on ITT and thought I would express my thoughts as others do.

Anita's face when she is being judged and criticised is a picture. She really dislikes any critique and considering she knows nothing about dance I believe she should take it a little better. She acts like she knows better.

When Craig gave her a six her face!

Obviously just my opinion, just something I noticed.
She is a human being - with weaknesses, strengths, hopes, anxieties, sensitivities and feelings.... just like the rest of us.

How would you feel if for example your annual appraisal at your workplace was broadcast on prime-time TV in front of the entire nation, when you had been engaged on a series of tasks which were completely new to you and which were going to absorb almost all of your waking hours for several weeks.... Imagine if all your colleagues and a bunch of complete strangers were all invited in to hear your shortcomings being laid before you and being told that you really aren't all that great compared to a couple of your colleagues, who have their eye on the same "promotion" as you do.

I wonder if you would simply smile sweetly, shrug your shoulders and think nothing of it.

I do wonder sometimes what goes on in the heads of people who seem to expect that the celebs that take part in Strictly should possess none of the same human characteristics and emotions as everyone else.

On a personal level, I don't see anything about Anita in the way you have described it. She is a joy to watch and for someone who has never danced previously, she has made a very big impression. She works extremely hard and seems to do anything that is asked of her - technically or artistically. She has pushed herself way beyond her comfort zone and has come a very long way. Her technique may not be flawless but as a complete learner, so it could hardly be expected to be so.
