Why would anyone smile through criticism ? How false
What do you think people do on stage? They perform, do you think the performances they give are genuine or are they smiling in them or doing a paso face?

It would be the height of rudeness to give a judge a dirty look or to say, shake your head. Of course you smile through it, otherwise I doubt you would be in that judge's good books.

As a dancer you nod, say thank you and I will work on that, you don't presume to know better then a judge.
She has never presumed to know better than a judge and in fact has ALWAYS said sbe will take on board what they say and will work on it. Have you been watching the same programme as me and lots of others appear to have been?

My face was probably the same when Craig flashed that six paddle. But it probably did her a favour, nearly everyone seems to have thought it was too harsh and it boosted her public vote.
Yes Craig and the BBC are doing Anita lots of favors - Craig giving Anita a score of 6 ensured she would get lots of sympathy votes and the BBC reminds us (when Anita doesn't) that she was untrained prior to the show (she has had 13/14 weeks training with a professional now) so it is a bit tiresome to have to still listen to that excuse.

On the pidgeon toed criticism Harry Judd (also untrained prior to the show) had that issue and Aliona worked on sorting that out. Gleb hasn't and he should have as it was glaringly obvious on Saturday.

On ITT tonight there was a lot of support shown to Anita by the journalists and Lilya. Maybe there should have been more a spread of support for others such as Kellie, Georgia, Jay etc - it would have made it a more balanced segment..IMO!!

But as many have pointed out Anita isn't even a dancer so your argument isn't valid
Yes, but she can put on a face in a performance, so should put one on just afterwards too.

Oh another one who thinks because they are a "dancer" theor opinion is more relevant...

Well I did tap dancing for about five minutes when I was six, and I can assure you most people don't give a shit. It's an entertainment show not a professional competition.
What?

That's not what I said, the poster asked what I would do if I had criticism in front of workers and I answered with the fact I have in front of an audience.

It was an answer to a question.

She's not a dancer she's a celeb and I'm jolly glad that we do not have umpteen celebs sitting in line nodding heads, saying thank you and I'll work on that. How very Stepford Wives.

This would be an appropriate response to most threads/posts

If you naturally point your feet inwards and always have done, I'd imagine it's a hard habit to break.

Anita's face when she is being judged and criticised is a picture. She really dislikes any critique and considering she knows nothing about dance I believe she should take it a little better. She acts like she knows better.

When Craig gave her a six her face!

Obviously just my opinion, just something I noticed.
My opinion was exactly the same. She didn't look upset, more annoyed that some judge had dared to suggest that her dancing wasn't good. People criticised Kirsty no end for this but IMO Anita is worse for it.

I thought Anita showed potential at the start but sadly I think she is believing her own hype now and is reluctant to listen to constructive and fair criticism.

No Zombie would dare cross her !! Yep bet she would just deal with it and move on !! ( with a swish of a Paso cape )
She has survived a Gleb Special. Zombies hold no fear for the intrepid Anita

I would love to see Anita in the final, but Gleb has not corrected her feet and they were flexed in all her lifts and flat footed in parts.

Yes she has not had dance training, but these errors should have been corrected by now and Craig is right to pick her up on them.
What has Anita being in the final got to do with how she, or any of the contestants, take criticism? In the Clauditorium Anita said she and Gleb had been working on her feet but she implied it was nigh impossible to alter her gait. I don't have pigeon toes but I can relate to how hard it is to re-educate the body from a long standing error of posture.

Yes didn't 2 out of 3 want her to win?
Haha, I love how people think I care about that, in all honesty I don't mind who wins if you see my previous posts on the subject, I prefer to just watch the dancing and IMO, the winner often isn't the best dancer.

On my own life, I have no interest in who picked who on ITT, this was something I noticed and just posted and as I said posted in Saturday night before the results and before two people on ITT picked her.

That's the price of being in the semi-finals, Jay has been getting it for weeks and Helen had some pretty nasty comments directed her way before she got eliminated. Surely you would rather a few random people on the internet expressed negative opinions on Anita and have her stay in the show than not?

I went to ballet classes which turned out to actually be highland dancing, because that was what the teacher had had in mind all along. The ballet thingswas just to try to lure us all in.

I didn't last long...

I never said she said a word, but her face said it all.
Nope.

I watched the show too and as far as I am concerned, her face said nothing of the sort.

Does that now make me right and you wrong?

Lesser dancers have managed to correct these 'Basic' faults, so why not her?

To be fair though all I have said was she doesn't take critisim well, nothing personal about her looks or personality or any other personal attack, or a silly nickname as people had done for Peter. Just what was plain to see in her response.

Who else on the show has pigeon toes and has corrected this problem?
