A thought on the dance off

I think if you have extra dancers in your dance, then they shouldn't be there in the dance off.
I know they use them for lifts and the like, but they distract from the celeb and the pro. I mean Georgia could have done her dance off without those stupid teapot and wardrobe and clock! They were not involved in hers at all and the judges could have seen her unobstructed.

I was thinking this myself. I love the idea but I dismissed it due to impracticallity - some elements of the dances would have to be re-choreographed to account for their absence.

My new best suggestion is to not have them in the first place.....

I was hoping they'd be smashed as 'seconds' or sold off cheap to a lucky member of the audience. But no, we even had the same inane obscuring shot of the chandelier.

What does the production team do for brains!

ETA I like your new best suggestion Lolly du Beke

In an ideal world, yes! I loved what they said tonight about them just having themselves and the floor, that's perfect and all you need.

I know, how annoying was that bloody shot too!

They should have just got rid of them for Georgia's, like you said, the exact same blocking of the judges too!
I really thought they would have though, they got rid of Kellie and Kevin's lightsabre's in their waltz.

I agree, I think in the danceoff that the dance should be, if possible, just the competitors.

At the very least they should give the dancing couples the opportunity whether they want the other dancers involved in their dance.

I think they mean .. the light saber in the box (at the start of their waltz.) I'm not sure they did get rid of it .. I thought we just didn't see it on camera. Anyway .. it was only part of the faffing .. they hadn't started dancing.

Haha, yes I know, but in the intro, before the dance begun, they played around with them in the waltz first time, in the dance off they didn't have them at all and was just looking at boxes and the photo.
