◾Katie & Anton are dancing the Waltz to ‘O Mio Babbino Caro’ by Puccini as well as dance the Charleston to ‘Too Darn Hot’ from the musical Kiss Me Kate.

◾Kellie & Kevin are performing the American Smooth to ‘Let’s Face The Music And Dance’ by Irving Berlin plus they will perform a Rumba to ‘Songbird’ by Eva Cassidy.

Whatever happened to the whole 1 Latin/1 Ballroom thing?

The music for Katie and Anton's waltz is staggering. Hopefully they won't be!

I'm aware I just thought the AT was also ballroom in SCD terms, which means they don't have a Latin in semi final week, which I assume is pretty unusual?

That is one Latin and one Ballroom. AT is classed as Latin and tango as Ballroom

It is unusual, but it's been done before (Dani Harmer did the American Smooth and AT in her semi). I guess it's pretty wise for Georgia to skip the Cha-Cha-Cha at this stage of the competition.

So is AT

Meaning that Anita skips Viennese Waltz, Georgia skips Cha-Cha-Cha, Jay and Katie skip Samba and Kellie skips Argentine Tango. Voila.

Kind of disappointed that Georgia won't have a combo of AT and Cha-Cha. Would make for a very exciting semi-final.

Dont know what to make of Katie's songs tbh. are they good songs or rubbish? Should they do well or not if there songs are owt to go by?

Prior to the Charleston being done on the show I assumed the AT was a Latin dance so then when the Charleston did come in then people switched the AT as being a Ballroom and Charleston as Latin - I guess from this we shold consider both as both Latin? Funny that it was assumed that Georgia would have the CCC. Great music for Kelly especially for their Rumba which was last used I believe by James and Cherie. I would have liked to have seen Jay do a Samba instead just to have a bit of variety but in all am looking forwas to witnessing all the dances.

To be honest I think people have just assumed Argentine Tango was classed as ballroom in terms of SCD because most of the time it's done in the semi-final it's happened to be paired with a Latin dance but there has been times it hasn't and there has been plenty of times where it's been done inbetween two ballroom dances.

I think Strictly just class it as neither ballroom or Latin and have just let it be a specialist dance all in itself. To be honest if I was going to say it was anything I'd say it was a Latin American dance seeing as a Latin American country is in the name.

Oh hell , kellie has a rumba . But her american smooth should be great .

It's an excellent song to get for a rumba though. If Kevin can do a simple, elegant one for Kellie (I won't hold my breath), then it could be a strong week for her.

Edit - that said, I think she will be in the dance off regardless, possibly along with Katie
