Loads of couples have done AT during the Semi's and been fine. I don't see why Georgia and Giovanni would struggle especially seeing as AT's are choreographed by someone else relieving pressure on Giovanni. The only reason I could think they'd decide to change it themselves would be because of injury.

I hope Zoe explains tomorrow why team GG aren't doing the AT anymore

I agree. She was good at samba so, music aside, opening with salsa, lots of shimmying and lifts, she will be fine..whereas having heel leads scrutinised and direct comparison with Jay...not clever move.

AT has lifts if Giovanni has got any upper body injuries he might not be confident in lifting Georgia.

At this point a AT would be much better from the audience perspective and to get more votes. It seems really silly and if their decision it's a poor one. As I said earlier their tango was amazing, they could have really done something with an AT.

A cha cha seems bla at this stage, Pixie left last year in the QF with a cha cha, but the AT is a show stopper, even bad ones.

I'd be really surprised if a pro injury resulted in a change like this - they are used to dancing with injury (remember the endless Artem injury videos) and (Artem aside!) don't make a song and dance about it. Plus AT lifts are not above shoulder so less arduous.

I would say latin is worse to expose bad legs and feet, short skirts and all and the feet are so important. Her samba, her feet were very clunky.
This late in the comp, I am sure her feet in a salsa would be pulled up on.

The VW, a long dress coupled with the fact it is very, very basic with the feet. Her waltz was nice and IMOshe coped with it better then some of the latin.

Pixie was tall and ballet trained .. it didn't quite suit her. Georgia will get on fine with it but it does seem a strange decision. I wonder if that's why they broke with tradition and didn't have team GG on ITT tonight?

Yes, it is a little odd re Jay. I had him down as samba complete with awesome samba rolls and skipping Charleston due to his lack of facial expressions. But Aliona wants to replicate Harry's journey. So then I thought, Aliona will get him to gurn for Great Britain as part of his development (though noone could outgurn Peter or Jake). Now it transpires he is doing a modern cool Charleston with less gurning. Go figure. Maybe she just wanted the outside choreographers to take a load off with it being two-dance week?!

No it actually suited pixie imo. She had straight legs for the most part during her routine and could produce that hip action beautifully that is necessary in the chacha. Technically it was very good imo but it was just bland and meh at that stage of the competition imo.

Yes, that may be the reason they didn't come on. I wondered if it were superstition as they are always on on Friday and they can get a bit superstitious during their runs. I think Mark R and Karen used to always want to be on on Tuesday.

I assumed it was because Georgia lives up in Manchester and only comes down to London later on the week (which is why she's always on a Thursday or Friday) and it was just easier to get Jay on then have Georgia and Giovanni take time out of training to travel all the way down London for ITT. Also, Zoe said they were doing the Argentine Tango on the show.
