Did she? I never read that. I used the same gym as Jade once upon a time and the way she trained the right leg, which was her launch leg in the triple jump, I was not surprised she sustained an injury. In fact many elite athletes probably would sustain career threatening injuries dancing because of imbalances in the body. I'm disappointed if she blamed Ian but then again the blow to her career was a bitter pill.

Btw Elsa is an apt moniker for a thread entitled 'Let it go ...'

LOL I picked that name long before the movie because of the wonderful Elsa Lanchester but oh well...

Ian went to help Jade up at the end of her dance - and she claims that's why she had the injury and she had been getting up by herself all the times before - something like that.

And like Beyonce, I'm still angry about them letting Arlene go too - especially to be replaced by the much younger Alesha.

*Tries not to lose shit over Colin Jackson. Fails*

BLOODY DARREN F***ING WARDROBE USELESS CRICKETING KNOBHEAD GOUGH!

And breathe.
And re-order crate of voodoo dolls and pins.

Yes, unfortunately(?), despite my investment in Jay this series, I'm afraid my slight recovery from the result of series three seems to have been only temporary.

For me it's kimberley or dani not winning

Classic film buff? Anyway, good choice of name.

I think Jade's criticism is a bit lame but I guess it provide some focus and containment for her disappointment.

I never saw that comment of hers as blame - I understood it to be an explanation of how the injury had happened, no more than that.

I hope so because it leaves a sour taste for me to think she blamed Ian for her injury.

Colin or Zoe not winning series 3.

Kara not getting a 40 - ESPECIALLY for her tango.

The SCD producers refusing to give Natalie a ringer and the win she deserves.

Erin/Katya/Iveta/Ian leaving.

I want Alesha back as a judge.

Sophie being kicked off the final before she could reprise her Charleston.

Hazel Newberry, a multiple times World Champion and best ballroom dancer ever to grace Strictly getting........Quentin Wilson.

That's certainly how I read it. I'm a bit of an athletics buff and I've never seen any indication of blame from Jade. I don't think top flight athletes have that sort of mindset - they accept that injuries can and do happen at the drop of a hat. It's just an occupational hazard.

No not Alesha

Nice woman, but not as a judge

Remember in her first series as a judge Alesha telling Matthew Cutler and his partner how to improve arm extensions - Matthew who had taught her!!

If they'd asked her to judge on just performance - maybe - but not technical stuff.

Pleasant person though

Wow, have you been inside my brain??! Replace "tango" with "Charleston" re Kara - I can rant for hours on the injustice of the score she received for that brilliant Charleston - and that's pretty much my list too.

That was her first series, in all fairness. I'll never forget the first ever bits of judging she did, which was for Lynda Bellingham, she said: 'One word, FIERCE!' Amazing.

In her final run, she for me was the most entertaining judge on the panel, she gave great constructive criticism and her presence is definitely missed - at least by me.

LOVED her Charleston. I cannot believe it only got 32.

-Gabby Logan lasting shorter in Strictly than Dom ****ing Littlewood. I can accept talented people going out around mid-November or so but c'mon how did Dom Littlewood last longer than Gabby?Gabbywozrobbed

-Alesha replacing Arlene. I don't even mind Alesha but Arlene clearly knew what she was talking about more than Alesha and I just felt Alesha was just naturally a bit too 'good cop' with her marking whereas I liked that Arlene would sometimes score with Craig and sometimes with Len and Bruno.
I even liked her awful alliteration and her lusting after every man under the age of 40

-That Nancy Del'Olio didn't reach the final. Forget dance ability, a Nancy showdance would've be one of the all-time great TV moments.

-The flouncing when Pixie was eliminated on here. I'm amazed the show survived so many people 'never watching again' and there were some ludicrous thread titles - 'The day the dancing died' etc.
Hilarous looking back though.

Harry Judd beating Chelsee in the final.

The whole Lisa Snowdon debacle. She wasn't that bloody good!

Them dropping Matt, Ian and Brian for Robin and Artem. Ok Artem was good dancer, but Robin.....

The sad demise of Austin Healey will never be forgotten. I regularly watch the 2008 highlights DVD whilst on my exercise bike and each time, I'm still hoping that Oz's American Smooth will be marked higher, or better still, that Lisa will fall flat on her face in the Dance Off! Not even her subsequent Bacofoil incident has provided redemption.

Even the triumph of Hollins barely caused a ripple in comparison. I think the only Strictly event that has come close to the angst of that dark day in 2008 was when Katya's contract was not renewed.

Lisa Snowdon

Lisa Snowdon getting a 40 for THAT BLOODY BARELYABOVEAVERYSLOWSTEP, I've seen oil tankers turn quicker than she danced that QS
Judges not giving Kara a 40 to keep her underscored and then her getting injured in the final
Lisa Snowdon
Artem going to DWTS, I really miss him 😢
Lisa bloody Snowdon
Criminal undermarking of Kara's charleston
Pamela Stephenson getting 10s for the stickiest, most lumpen, heavy footed, danced in orthopaedic shoes, charleston that I've ever had the misfortune to watch
And Lisa fecking Snowdon, much as I'm now trying to be zen and let it go, I'M NOT LETTING IT GO, AUSTINWOZROBBED

Oh yes, poor Hazel. Still Quentin Wilson's bad dancing was the reason we got hooked into Strictly as a family.

Some pros just can't teach or choreograph. Poor Quentin Willson - so much potential.

Similar to Gregg Wallace. Brilliant dancers, poor spellers.

That's the first time I've ever seen the Cola charleston? Is that it? 😱 That lumpen, heavy footed, no discernible swivel, gob open charleston is considered one of the best charlestons ever on Strictly? I'm off to the controversial opinions thread (I didn't watch that series)
