List your fave songs that were released during your teenage years (13-19). Or if you're still one then just your favourites since you turned 13!

For me that means a timeframe of September of 2001 (not the best of starts given certain world events that month) up to 2008. A definitive list is close to impossible, but from that era these ten all come to mind:

Doves - There Goes The Fear
The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize
Evanescence - Bring Me To Life
Morrissey - First of the Gang
Muse - Sing for Absolution
The Libertines - Can't Stand Me Now
The Killers - All These Things That I've Done
Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends
My Chemical Romance - Welcome To The Black Parade
MGMT - Time to Pretend

An extremely rock/indie dominated time - the best dance tracks were mostly just before (1999-2000) and pop returned with a vengeance from 2009 onwards. Not that I was actually listening to half of these at the time - ask me then and I'd have written a list containing the likes of Cascada and Scooter Not that 'Everytime We Touch' will ever stop being a noughties classic...

bit confused isnt the point to list the songs you were listening to in teenage years not picking the great songs that were out that you may have missed.

Thats like me discounting that my first album was Five Star and saying I like Husker Du. When I didnt even know who they were when I was a teenager but now I can say they were a brilliant 80s band.

For me 13-19 or more 15-19 as thats when I really got into music the big 10 acts would be for me

Huey Lewis & The News
Bon Jovi
INXS
Glass Tiger
Heart
Deacon Blue
Del Amitri
Guns N Roses
The Stoneroses
James

But looking back with hindsight I would add The Cure, The Pixies, U2, The Smiths etc

Some great choices there! Naturally I thoroughly approve of Soft Cell's inclusion with their finest ever song. Although I'd substitute that U2 track which I've never much liked for the albums title track 'Unforgettable Fire'. I'm obviously from the same era 'teenage years wise' as you so can relate to most of those choices. I didn't know any of the highlighted tracks though so investigated each via you tube... Conclusion - further investigation of each group probably now required!

Whole Again - Atomic Kitten
Seasons in the Sun - Westlife
Breakaway - Kelly Clarkson
If You're Not the One - Daniel Bedingfield
Wherever You Go - The Calling
Push The Button - Sugababes
Anyone of Us - Gareth Gates
Innocent Eyes - Delta Goodrem
Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield
Rock Your Body - Justin Timberlake

Very much a early-mid 2000s teenager

Go here to check out the guy that I was crazy about the year that I turned 17 in 1999. His name his Shane Minor and was the opening for Shania Twain during her tour that year.

God bless you and her and Shane always!!!

Holly

P.S. Sadly just that one album from him is the only one that was ever released from him.

I found it easier to do groups and singers than individual tracks

00- N Sync, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson
01- Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Michael Jackson
02- Nickelback, The Calling, Linkin Park, Nirvana
03- Evanescence, Linkin Park, Nirvana, Good Charlotte
04- Maroon 5, Nirvana, Blink 182
05- My Chemical Romance, Fightstar, Blink 182, Funeral for a Friend
06- My Chemical Romance, Fightstar, Fall Out Boy, Funeral for a Friend

The ones I really were into though during those years were: Michael Jackson, Linkin Park ,Nirvana, My Chemical Romance and Fightstar.
