Well I love them seeing their joy at getting so far. I don't have a particular liking for any of the other semi-finalists but I always look forward to Katie and Anton. I don't like all the nasty and sometimes vitriolic comments about Anton - what has he ever done to you? He's just a dancer on an entertainment show and I love watching him and also find him endearing. There must be many others who agree as they get the votes!

Im exactly the same so finally someone who agrees with me Antons my fave pro and love the joy he is having this year. He has done nothing to anyone and the comments he gets here are unnessecerry. I will for 1 be definatly voting for them on Saturday to get to the final. Im guessing you will be also voting for them to get to the final this weekend?

Unfortunately thats being idealistic.I remember well what a fiasco it was when that Christopher whats- his- name from Corrie, I think it was, got to the final. With his wooden legs it was an absolutely pathetic travesty.
There have been better eliminated in some cases than get to the final. People have different reasons for voting, otherwise Helen would still be in. Dont say she didnt deserve it.

That's not really an argument though. All you're saying there is "I don't think Helen deserved to go out," Helen was in the bottom two on the leaderboard and had some serious issues in the Paso, as she had in the Charleston and in some of the other Latin dances.It's not as if someone who was consistently flawless was eliminated.
The Christopher whatsit who got to the final got there at the expense of Anton and Lesley Garrett who were technically streets ahead, and whenever Anton has spoken about it since he's pretty much just said "well, that's the show," and it is the show,idealism doesn't come into it.
Technically of the five left personally I'd say the strongest all round dancer is Kellie and the weakest Anita, but I'd never vote for either or for Jay or Georgia as they leave me unmoved compared to Katie and Anton when they dance at their best,like in the Tango, Viennese Waltz, Rhumba and the Foxtrot.
If they pull off good dances at the weekend and the combination of judges marks and public support gets them to the final then they'll have deserved it.
I hope they do.
Part of the reason I would like K&A in the final is to have some decent standard ballroom. So many pros seem to be from the latin side and/or dance out of hold too much. I want to see some old school glamour and Anton has a fitting partner for that in Katie.
Call me shallow, but I am glad that Anton has got this far so I get to see Katie in that Charleston dress ( not sure if you can call it a dress though).

I have also been voting for them all series and will be voting my butt off this week in the hope to get them to the final. Like to think im doing my bit to get my favourite pro as far as possible
I think that the line of Katie not being a good dancer is a bit overdone, sure she wasn't great at some of the Latin dances but the rumba was great, and nearly all of her ballroom has been really good, I think it's the same with Anita.
There are bits that aren't great in everyone's dancing (yes, even Jay!) but nobody that's left is dreadful, nobody is wooden legged or has two left feet - to suggest that they are, or that they don't deserve to be there is daft

She does have the most beautiful pair though it has to be said.
I would prefer Anita in the final, she is a much better all round performer even if her footwork isn't perfect.
Katie looks lovely in ballroom but I do think her latin has been a bit dodgy but there again it is hardly Anton's strong point. I await their Charleston with some trepidation.

Well Anton did a great charleston with Laila - it's on Youtube so he is more than capable of doing the same with Katie. Their waltz should be sublime and I think there is a huge amount of support for them so I have every confidence they will get to the final. Hurrah!

Happens every year. No other pro gets talked about as much as Anton. I too have been voting mostly for K&A - and will continue to do so, but also for Georgia.
I love Anton and I love Katie, but Anton's Latin choreography is dire and I am really surprised how bad it is. Luckily they had someone else choreograph their AT and as far as I know, the pros don't choreograph the Charleston.
I won't be automatically voting for Anton and Katie - will depend on their dances.
My favourites are Anita and Jay, but will have to wait and see. For me Strictly is all about the dancing.

Anton deserves to be in the final. He has been in the show for 11 years and has mostly had a joke partner. I hope he gets a 10 tomorrow.

THEY don't (whoever THEY is) the public obviously wanted him to get to the semi final, it remains to be seen if the public get him through to the final
I so hope they get through but i am nervous for them if they will do well enough and have enough public support so i will be voting like mad on speed dial in the hope they avoid the DO. Im nervous that they will be there as they will probibly go unless its Antia they meet there or possibly Kellie if she messes up in the DO. Does anyone else think they wont be in the DO?

That's a really good point. At least with Katie & Anton and Georgia & Giovanni you get what is says on the tin. From the look of Georgia on ITT last night, I doubt if she's well enough to do two good dances, so I'm hoping for a good VW from them and a good Waltz from Katie & Anton - and maybe a good Charleston too. IIRC both couples have good music, so fingers crossed.
I found Katie irritating at first but she's grown on me and good luck to her. I have to say Anton leaves me cold, he can be witty but he does appear to be his own biggest fan and I have never quite been able to forget his P*** remark.
