I was watching it when lost my signal. Know they have only had two day rehearsal time.
So did they say whose idea it was to swap? She has had difficulty with the cha cha. Is the AT really that much harder?

If she goes through maybe they could incorporate some AT into to their freestyle. Similar to what Val/Rumer did? (She won)

I'm guessing ChaChaCha was the easier option because Giovanni is trained in it. I'm assuming he's not specially trained in AT so it would have meant loosing a lot of the time they did have left with AT specialists.

No it hasn't been mentioned whose idea it was to swap, possibly a combination of Georgia, Giovanni & the producers is my guess.

It could be that the AT choreographers were only available for part of the week, the time when Georgia was ill, or the AT choreographers decided that they couldn't teach the dance in one day. Regardless, Giovanni can probably teach cha cha cha at every small opportunity that presents itself but he can't teach AT by himself.

I'm getting quite worried now... the last things Georgia needs now are any kind of backlash, and to be unable to dance her best. I still believe she will perform well but it would be awful if being ill ultimately stopped her from making the final - with Helen gone I badly want her and Jay to make it to the very end, and for one of them to win.

Ah that makes sense. She is probably going to get a bounce back from last week plus sympathy vote plus generosity from judges and her VW looks beautiful...so unless the cha cha really screws her over, she should be okay. Or Craig will lay into her and she gets votes on that.

I just hope for Georgia's sake they don't over-egg the 'she's been ill' line on Saturday. She's already talked about it on ITT today (which is good for her to have her say on it), but it should, for her benifit, be kept to a minimum of talk on Saturday. It can pee some viewers off if the show trys to find excuses for contestants, even if they are valid, as I suppose all contestants are see seen to have some disadvantages at certain points.

If Georgia makes it through this week she'll have done well, not because of the illness, but just because she has to find more votes than Anita and Katie that she didn't clearly have last week. This idea of the bounce may work, but only if she can perform well enough to warrant it, as I don't think if she dances under par people will feel she'll deserve that bounce.

Over the series overall I think she's a better dancer than Katie and Anita, and in certain dances better than Kellie too, but if she scores too highly by the judges and the others are underscored (as Anita sometimes has been) then that sympathetic bounce vote may miss her and be transfered to Anita (or Katie) instead. I'm dreading the dance Anita will have for her latin, it sounds awful, and sometimes people can easily be put off by a tune, so I'm wondering if she'll ironically fair more by being at a disadvantage if that song doesn't gel well with the dance, than Georgia who has been ill.

We'll see, maybe Anita will perform well and deserve to go through and Georgia will do the opposite (if she's under rehearsed). But if Georgia dances better than Anita and Katie (which has done most weeks imo) and yet still doesn't get through, it will be a shame for her, but just the way the cookie crumbles.

Zoe looks so much like her dad there. I don't always see it now, but when she was younger the likeness is very clear.

And those pre- dance bits seem so much more honest (and bitchy!) than the fluff and nonsense we get now.
