I have a Panasonic BTT490 surround system which is connected to the blu ray player it came with and a projector. the speakers are connected with the connections on the left: https://www.google.se/search?q=BTT49...bBi2NIHFObM%3A

If I want to attach this to my normal Panasonic tv and a PS4 do I just connect the tv to the system blu Ray player as well as the PS4 (into the blu Ray)?

thanks!

What you are calling the Blu-Ray player is the surround system, It is an integrated disk player and amplifier. Unlike many of these all in one boxes it does have a few connection options. Usually you get very little in the way of connectivity for peripherals like your PS4.

If the TV supports ARC over HDMI the easiest connection set-up is to plug a lead from the HDMI out of the surround system to the ARC HDMI in on the TV. This will allow you to send pictures from the Blu-Ray player or anything connected to the HDMI inputs on the surround system to the TV. At the same time it also allows you to send sound from the TV back to the surround system for when you are watching the built in tuner on the TV.

If the TV does not support ARC then in addition to the HDMI lead you will need an optical digital audio lead from the TV output back to the surround input if you want to use the surround system for sound when watching Freeview for example.

The PS4 can be connected to one of the HDMI ins on the surround system, That is more likely to guarantee getting true surround sound to the system. If you plugged the PS4 into the TV it is possible you could get audio from it sent to the surround system but it may default to stereo or something like Dolby ProLogic encoded two channel rather than the full Dolby Digital or DTS surround you are likely to get by connecting the PS4 to the surround system directly.
