Goody. Just the thing for the bleak midwinter months. I quite like the present cast. It was a surprise when Ben Miller gave up the part, but it's good to see that he now has time to spend on his worthwhile and heartbreaking depiction of the difficulties of being an adult with special needs having to cope with a teenage son who is similarly afflicted.

I'll give DiP a go - I wasn't so keen last series. I expect the new girl will fall for Humphrey, but he won't be interested because he'll be pining for Camille.

Either that or he'll forget about Camille completely after one episode, as she did with Richard. They're all so fickle!

My number 2 pet hate.
We live in Great Britian, not the USA. It's Series 5, not Season 5!

I love this programme and although I didn't think it would be the same without Ben Miller I was proved wrong. I hope the same is true this series now Camille has gone. It will be a nice little spot of Caribbean sunshine in a dull and wintry January. Sometimes a little spot of escapism is just what the doctor ordered.

Did they really say that Laura was expelled from school for having an affair with a teacher? Surely the teacher should have been charged with abusing her, and would not be allowed to teach any more, but it would be outrageous for the victim to be expelled? I know it was supposed to be a few years ago, but not all that many?

Think it was mentioned she was 17 then so not not actually illegal in that sense. What happened to the teacher wasn't of any consequence to the story.

Great to have DIP back just as the weather starts getting cold - at least I've got the theme tune to cheer me up over the next few weeks!
