Yes, lots of whodunit dramas end up with that problem. The solution is to either to avoid well-known actors, or go the other way and stuff the cast full of them, like they often do on shows like Midsomer Murders.
Anyway, I had this DiP story solved by half way though... Cedrik was dying from his health problems with not long left (hence giving Dwayne the gold chain), and it was a mercy killing by his girlfriend, after his goodbye-poker-party with all his closest friends. Completely wrong.
I really liked this episode - I agree that DJJ really shone, with the others standing back a little. In particularly, I enjoyed KM as the supportive boss/colleague/friend, in serious mode pretty much throughout.
