Still no charleston training for Jay and Aliona

KK AS looks really, really good imo.
Kanton waltz will be really amazing IF they correct the gapping.
I think that BOTH VW will look amazing on the night; I especially loved the little bit of choreography of Jay and Aliona's V. waltz.
Anita's foxtrot looks better than I expected. Her footwork seems a bit dodgy at one point.
Giovanni and his singing
Not convinced by Anita's salsa; Kellie's rumba and even Katie's charleston at the moment.

No problems . A fm posted it in the J & A app thread and I thought I would share it here. Disappointed that there is still no training of J and A charleston . I was really looking forward to it.

Maybe. Her AS looks really good imo. I think that she may be 2nd or 3rd of the Leaderboard.

Georgia's footwork in the cha cha leaves a lot to be desired, walking forwards on the heel, she doesn't have the the movement through the floor.

Where on earth is Jay's charleston?

Katie quite pigeon toed in the ballroom there.

We see everyone's dances - and the intro to J&A's VW over and over again.

Kellie and Anita looking good.

Georgia looking OK for the VW but early days with The CCC.

Katie looks fine for the Waltz, but the Charleston doesn't look good so far.

I'm pleased Georgia has been able to train - at least some - despite being ill. I was beginning to fear she might have to forfeit her place

I know everyone is keen to see Jay's Charleston, but I think it's quite nice not to know too much - I did feel when I saw his rumba on Saturday that I'd already seen most of it in training vids. I'm happy to be surprised.

I like seeing these training videos. It really makes you appreciate the massive effort everyone is putting in (so much manic counting and boomp pah pah npises!) and yet managing to have some fun. I think they all look pretty good for early stages and nice to see Georgia is able to train, if maybe a little subdued.

Yes, she did look a bit poorly there, so hopefully this was early in the week and she is now on the mend.

Again no training of Jay in hold. Just all the faffing about

The ballroom dances all look good, the latins not so much.

Anita looked very good.
Jay's training didn't look good and seeing the footage from Ian yesterday, I would assume the footage today was recorded before the one of Ian yesterday... Weird.

Anita looking average again. Jay looking fantastic - add all that bit we can see out of a 90 second dance to the rotations we can't yet - it's going to be a stunning VW. Aliona is really concentrating getting Jay's arms / legs / footwork and shaping on the money - she is such a perfectionist - she knows what the judges are looking for.

RE Jay, I don't know when this was taken, but with VW its important first of all that he knows 1) correct footwork as its very precise and 2) he understands the directions in which he is taking the steps as once again there is no margin for error if you want to do it well.

Yeah to be fair there is a little bit of her teaching him the steps in there, still would like to see some in hold.

Absolutely no point in trying to dance in hold until Jay knows what he should be doing with his feet and direction of steps, and where to put in power and when not to etc.

I've learned to take these vids with a pinch of salt. It's a shame we don't a glimpse on the Friday.

You shouldn't take them with a pinch of salt, they are always interesting. You see the steep learning curve, and how hard they work to then be able to perform the way they do on Saturday.

Music buffs - is this the first time a song previously used for a Tango has been picked for a Cha Cha?

Not quite the same, but Kimberley's fusion was Cha Cha/Tango to It's Raining Men.

I meant in terms of forming an opinion on the dance outcome. These early vids normally serve as no indication of the final product.

Of course they won't for most viewers, but those that dance or are in the profession, you can see even at this early stage what technique is being taught and what faults the celeb has, and what the Pro will have to work hard at to eradicate.I find them very interesting.

This wouldn't be right for a Tango but OK for Cha Cha Cha Strictly style.
Problem with Strictly is that the majority of the songs they use are not strict tempo. The timings for the dances are rarely right, you could say that this is not a Cha Cha Cha, but it is a song that you could get away with dancing a Cha Cha Cha to.Its not the same.
