Mouse organ left behind by cat
This post may not be for the squeamish
![]() My cat often catches mice outside overnight, and brings them in to eat. I usually only know when she has done this because all she leaves behind is a small greenish organ about the size and shape of a jelly bean. I've googled this, and quite a few people have had exactly the same experience, but nowhere can I find a definitive answer as to what this organ is. Does anyone here know? Edit: Looking at more pictures, I'm pretty sure it's the stomach. |

I have a cat that always eats the mice she catches. I've watched her a few times and she always sets the heart aside, eats the rest (usually leaving the tail) and then goes back for the heart. I've never known another cat to do this.

My cat brings them in, then loses interest and lets them go alive ande mostly uninjured. So I get up in the morning, and find a mouse running round.

The Beast leaves whatever this unconfirmed bit of creature is.
Whatever it is it must be well manky, as the Beast eats everything else, and I mean everything; bones, tail, the lot are all snarfed down, apart from this bit. |
