Hi,

My cat has suddenly decided he doesn't want to go out much in the day. He stays in at night anyway. And he sleeps a lot in a cardboard box he tole off me.

Is this normal this time of the year?

Cheers

I think my cat goes out as often as in the summer, but the trips are much shorter. She noticeably eats more too

Your cat might benefit from a bit of play-exercise OP - keep him in trip over the winter months!

My cat seems to be lazing around much more than usual as well. She's 99.9% an indoor cat anyway though.

Now he is getting a bit older, the beast has started to decide that the great outdoors at this time of year is not so great and has annexed and set up a new state on our bed.

The new republic of Verycomfyandwarmindeedbednanistan.

He has declared himself Supreme Ruler, Great Leader, and the one true heir to the great new republic, and all rights previously held are declared invalid.

Anyone attempting a Facist/Communist/Wanting of a share of the bed because they have to get up for work in the morning coup, are immediately declared non persons and are repelled.

Initially by non aggressive means of not surrendering the land mass of Verycomfyandwarmindeedbednanistan, by holding on very tightly with his claws to the duvet. Resulting in a shift of the geographic landscape.

When this tactic proves futile, a brief pause to regroup follows.

Then, The Supreme Leader resorts to Guerilla (sp) tactics to wear down the totally illegal new government.

Achieved by sneaking up and batting the heads of the totally reprehensible rebels, and by mental torture of squeaking propaganda.

Eventually the Evil rebels are forced into a land share agreement whereby the reinstated supreme leader is given control of the central territory, and the rebels are forced to the edges.

The Great Leader then declares this a great victory, and proceeds to purr the national anthem of Verycomfyandwarmindeedbednanistan.

As punishment for the totally illegal and immoral attempted coup the rebels are awoken early to prepare breakfast for the supreme leader.

It hasn't been really cold yet so, as this is her first winter as an adult I'm not sure how she will be but she does point blank refuse to go out in these strong winds we've had in recent weeks.

Lucy is still going out a little bit, but not for too long. Also, she eats far more in the Winter than in the Summer.

She can't abide the strong winds and is more likely to stop out a bit longer on a cold calm day than a mild windy one.
