I have this little beauty and it is perfect with just adding a wireless mouse from Ebay and you have the best of both worlds. All your favourite Android apps, plus Windows 8.1 and a free update to Win 10 if you want. Read the many reviews and Youtube videos to really appreciate what this little gem can do. Plus you get 1 year Office, all for about £61 delivered, unbelievable value.

After two weeks of use this little gem is going strong, I have kept the 8.1 and all updates have gone well, with no problems. Probably the best value piece of tech I have purchased this year.

I am torn between getting one of these or paying a bit more and get a NUC. How well does Kodi work on it ?

If I were getting an android box I'd probably plump for something based around the Amlogic S905.

I know this sounds dumb but can someone give me a idiots guide as to what Kodi can do and how it works?

Just purchased a Droid tv box with Kodi pre-installed but admittedly had little idea what it's all about other than it comes highly recommended. I could of course just research it online but I find getting help from fellow users is often better.

The quick and dirty description is that Kodi is an all-in-one media centre that is highly configurable so that you can watch and stream your media content however you want.

It has hundreds of add-ons and plugins to enable you to customise and configure it as well.

Obviously the bulk of people buy an android box with kodi to get "free" football and "free" movies though.

In case anyone is interested, never looked back since buying the Pipo X8, another month and it will have paid for itself in savings on what I have watched.
