Troye Sivan - Blue Neighbourhood (2015 Album)
So I was browsing Apple Music last night and saw Troye Sivan had just dropped his debut album (I had previously downloaded the WILD EP, so it was recommended.)
I was so pleasantly surprised as, for a YouTuber, his music is remarkably polished and I absolute love the genre he has gone for. Track list and music video trilogy below. 1. WILD 2. BITE 3. FOOLS 4. EASE (ft. Broods) 5. THE QUIET 6. DKLA (ft. Tkay Maidza) 7. TALK ME DOWN 8. COOL 9. HEAVEN (ft. Betty Who) 10. YOUTH 11. LOST BOY 12. for him. (ft. Allday) 13. SUBURBIA 14. TOO GOOD 15. BLUE (ft. Alex Hope) Blue Neighbourhood Trilogy 1 - WILD - https://youtu.be/fdXNNveYOfU 2 - FOOLS - https://youtu.be/uxg222-hWWc 3 - TALK ME DOWN - https://youtu.be/Lo3lxS-6joY What do we think? I think he's on the right track to being quite big. |

I've been listening to the album all week, definitely a grower, every song has gotten better with each listen, definitely a great album.

I find the whole YouTuber thing quite fascinating. It's remarkable how people have become a sort of "celebrity' just from uploaded vlogs onto YouTube over the last 8 years.
I didn't have a clue who Troye Sivan was when Happy Little Pill was released, and I remember listening to the song thinking what a superb song it was. Then I searched "Troye Sivan" to see if there were any other music videos and that's pretty much when I realised who he was, and how popular he was. One thing that strikes me the most about Troye is how he's very much in control of his music and I say kudos to his record company for allowing him to make music the way he wants to, rather than what they want Troye to sound like. |

I thought his three Blue Neighbourhood videos on youtube were excellent. He is really growing into a mature artist that can make his passion for music even more enjoyable.
I have his two LP's as a paid download so far and they both sound great. He will do well in his career. He has already matured as an artist with his great track record to date. |
