Brett: top lad
Really decent and thorough all around. You don't many like that these days. In fact, I'd add Jason from a few series' ago to that list too.

![]() ) He's the flavour of the year for me, along with Aaron from Emmerdale and Aiden from Corrie. And contrary to popular belief, Brett is not arrogant or incompetent. He was a worthy candidate and deserved to make it far. His business plan would have proven to be successful among a lot of investors I'm sure.

I very much liked him too. One of my favourite Series 11 candidates, and one of the best in terms of competency (obviously he had his cock-ups though).

Yeah, I agree, he seems like a really good guy. I'm not into body building types much, but he looked quite striking and handsome on "You're Fired" too.

Lol. He looks incredible for 28. Wish I had his physique 3 years ago.
His physique is odd though, he has bulked his chest and upper arms up to much somewhat they don't hang naturally but curve out in a hulk impression. So that when he walks he looks more like an ape than a man, definitely not my cup of tea at all. |

I wasn't much into body building types either until Brett the stud-muffin appeared on our screens. I can't find a single fault with him. I'd ask Santa for him as a Crimbo present.
![]() ![]() He's far from a body builder by the way - as in a million miles away. #RoseTintedSpectacles |

Brett had bizarre speech patterns: fluent but often finding the wrong word. If there are any psycholinguists or neuropsychologists on DS, is there a technical term?

Lol, I never spotted that. I always listen intently and feel he spoke in a clear and cconcise manner. He used the correct words.

Brett's constant gabbling was used to cover up the fact that he is not very bright, and that's putting it kindly.

Seemed like a nice enough contestant towards the end but was very brutish at the beginning. He came across very well on YF. Shame was not as chirpy as that when he was on the show. Mind you, it's probably the edit he got. |

I loved the way Brett rolled his eyes when Richard advised Vana and him to make the crisps taste nice.

![]() ![]() I think most of this series' contestants have been very pleasant. So far the only one who I couldn't really stand on YF was April- though Selina didn't appear ![]() I wouldn't really judge their personality solely on boardroom exchanges and what they say on task. the show is heavily edited anyway. Off camera I'd say the majority of them are " really decent all round" |

Vana has got a lot of flack on here but I think she is the best of what is left - and in fact I think she has been pretty good all round. |

But surely if one want to be a a success then boardroom expertise is vital.

In reality, the boardrooms go on for hours and hours. so much will be cut out. we ultimately see, what, 20 minutes overall?
In my job I have trained many people like this -and so called "graduates " - and they are almost universally useless and don't have the brains they were born with. I like Vana - and she is the best of a very poor lot in my opinion |
