I like Gleb but, after watching tonight's (dreadful) Salsa, it occurred to me that I have lost count of the number of times Anita's face has seemingly ended up in his crotch during their routnes.

Just a little 'unsavoury' for my liking....

I wouldn't call it a dreadful salsa; I just wouldn't call that mish-mash a salsa at all.

He certainly seemed to be bothering Anita at several points too!

Anita's a smart woman, she probably had it written into her contract.

More concerned about the dreadful music choices.

The bottom line is the music that was chosen was terrible. How could anyone do a salsa to that noise? I quite liked the routine I liked the intricate moves, but if you want a salsa give them music they can do a salsa too.

I wish Gleb would worry me.

I like Gleb's choreography; it has brought a freshness to the show. It must be an incredibly hard balance of ensuring enough correct steps are included in a dance & making it entertaining for us lot watching. Think Gleb has the right balance & Anita is a very lucky lady

Truth be told, if Gleb was my dance partner I'd be paying him to put crotch sniffing moves into every dance, including the waltz.

He's probably trying to overcompensate for something. He creeps me out a bit.

I'm sure Anita is thoroughly enjoying every second of the position she finds herself in on Strictly this year, most of us would swap places with her in a flash.

Totally agree but according to the blog Strictly come bitching on ITT Anita said she wanted to dance to Take on me by Aha and Gleb said the Pitbull number which steals the riff was the closest he could get to being able to choreo to it (not strictly true: Take on me was used on DWTS as a quickstep by Maks and Mel B and by Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke although I thought both renditions and QS were bloody awful...Rob Carcrashian if you will). So potentially it was for her. I loved the showdance but hate the song. And it was a showdance even down to the hip hop she said she will do if she makes the final.
I liked her samba so am surprised they did not do more of a salsa.

Actually, on ITT they were making fun of the song--they played a bit of it, then they all started doing hands-in-the-air dancing and Gleb joked that was the actual choreography. Anita mentioned that she'd played the original Take On Me for Gleb and he said there was no dance he could do to it, so it was funny that now they'd got that song with the Take On Me sample. So, like Helen and Aljaz in the previous week, they got stuck with a crap song. I imagine he'd have done a fine job with a more traditional salsa song.

Based only on my viewing of the American Strictly, it seems to be a standard salsa move. I don't like it either, though.

I've had enough of Gleb, tbh. I wouldn't be unhappy if he moved on to another show next season.
