There is all the proof you need how awful this year is. None of the finalists this year are anywhere near as good.

Leona was excellent singing Run. Ben and Leona together though, I don't know, just didn't like it.

That was the worst duet I've seen in the history of the show. So many bum notes from Haenow and the attempted melodies were just painful

Leona looks uncomfortable somehow.

She's still the best we've ever had.

I didn't like either. The harmonies were awful but individually they were ok

Leona on an off day is better than these lot. Every time she comes on the show she shows them all up and you just think we'll never find another anywhere near as good.

It just did'nt work, and was never going to. I am surprised that they were paired together.

I liked their individual parts of the duet itwas when they were singing at the same time which was problem, they were both putting each other off.

Agree! I absolutely love Leona singing Run on her own but either the song doesnt work as a duet or it was simply Ben and Leona didn't work well together, I don't know, but it sort of lost it for me. Although the first song was great and I hope that is bens second single? Was relieved to hear his growling tones back as well.

out of ben/leona and little mix/fleur it's clear who got the bigger budget.

On a similar note, of the two collaborations it's clear which pair has made the most money in 2015.

Leona sounded as fabulous as she always does. Ben's song is weak and while I loved him last year, he's sounded awful on both his XF appearances this year. Songs which don't suit him I feel.

The duet didn't work. They couldn't harmonise at all and it showed, plus Run was way out of Ben's comfort zone.

Ms Lewis won because Cowell kept telling the public how good she was and in those days people actually believed him.

I've always hated Leonas version of Run and so I tend to switch off whenever I hear it.

I agree with others though who said that each of them worked ok on their solo parts but not as a duet. Ben isn't a natural performer and I think he looks uncomfortable on stage.
Personally, I think he'd be better as a lead singer in a band rather than a solo artist

I watched it this afternoon and they both sounded awful, a caterwauling mess with hardly a note in tune.

...and she still is. It's just this year she released an album of her own songs and they just aren't that good.

I thought she sang well last night but I suspect having Ben's husky and pitchy vocals in her ear piece must've been off-putting even for her.

No she won because she was and still is an amazing singer, I am not influencd by Cowell and always thought she sounded fantastic. Would I buy her music no as it's not my type of music but she still has amazing pipes

I didn't think the duo was awful but the Fleur/LM was much better performance

The whole performance looked awkward to me. Ben sounded awful against her voice. Some truly awful notes....

Did anyone feel the awkwardness when Leona sang on stage?

I noticed, in particular, when the duet finished Simon looked uncomfortable and I believe said to Cheryl, sit down now.

I know Cowell apparently wished her well when she parted ways with syco however I heard Simon values loyalty, either that or I also wonder if he actually feels he let her down.

To be honest I didn't think Leona was that great last night. In fact, distinctively average. As if she's had her day...

Something was really up with how all of these people were miked and mixed. HeyNow and Leona Lewis sounded almost as bad as the contestants. Everyone's pitch sounded all over the place all night. For that to be so consistent I think it's likely whatever feedback they normally might be getting through their earpieces was totally useless.

I wonder if Leona has got over the traumatic experience of having to sing withBen?

It was the year that the manipulation begun. She was hyped to high heaven and any credible competitors were knobbled which left an inevitable win in the final when her competition was irritating 12 year old eyes, teeth and jazz hands scouse goblin Ray Quinn

Wow, you must be some wizard to know about how the public think! Perhaps you know the winning numbers of the Lottery too?

I think we can credit the public who have ears and can hear and judge for themselves what sounds good to them.

She didn't exactly cover herself with glory with this performance anyway. But (as I said) everyone all night, including her, were so off-tune, there HAD to be problems beyond any one person. They become very dependent on what comes in through those earpieces, but that can be screwed up if someone incompetent is running those sound boards.
