What a day !!!!!

Son bought A grade/mint iPhone 6s from a well known second-hand chain store two weeks ago working perfectly and very happy with it. This morning finds its on the network (02) but no signal strength and won't make or receive calls, texts or internet.

Tried sim in another phone and worked fine.

Looked on internet and some were saying an update glitch was bricking some of them.

Took back to shop where assistant after explaining problem, looked skyward, and asked us to hold on and took phone to their little test booth. Minute later comes back and tells us as suspected it's been blocked, and the customer next to us has the same problem, and it's the third iPhone 6s they've had back today. He also said it will prompt a company investigation and police being called in.

Will the company be able to get them unblocked as it was done fraudulently so they can re-sell them or once a phone is network blocked that's it forever, no exceptions.

If it's CEX they normally replace the handset as the phone being blocked means it's now faulty.

It is, and they did, no quibble.

Crikey that's a good price considering its from a high street shop, that's cheaper than a 16gb model from Apple! I know its second hand but it's only going to be 3months old max, great deal really
