They're US owned - Yoplait.
You'd be better off asking the supermarkets why it's not available.

I emailed both Tesco and Waitrose and they both say that due to either low sales or difficulty in obtaining a regular supply they have both decided to stop selling this product. Also emailed Morrison and Sainsburys but no reply yet.

That link of Gogfumble's has the correct 'phone number (although 0845 numbers are now illegal) but the incorrect (website administrator) address. Yoplait's consumer care address and the online contact form are here.

Don't suppose you're interested but you can still buy the strawberry flavour on offer at Ocado, 4 x 125g £1.80. Looks like you'll have to move to France though if you want the vanilla.

Hi evil c I have just clicked on your link and phoned Yoplait and was told that the Vanilla flavour was now discontinued but the fruity flavours are still available at Sainsburys and Morrisons but not Tesco or Waitrose. We have no Morrison store near us and the nearest Sainsburys is a half hour drive away.

Reply from Yoplait

Thank you for contacting our careline with your enquiry regarding our Yoplait Calin+ Vanilla Yogurt product.

Unfortunately this has been discontinued because the major retailers found that there was not enough demand for it and stopped providing shelf space. I appreciate that it is very frustrating when a product that you have been buying regularly is no longer available.

I am sorry I can’t give you a more positive reply. Thank you once again that you brought this matter to our attention and we hope that you will purchase and enjoy other products from our range in the future.

Sincerely,

m sorry our Calin + Vanilla yoghurt wasn't available in your local store.

Unfortunately, this item is no longer ranged in Sainsbury's and has been removed from the website.

The only flavours of the Calin yoghurts we sell are know the strawberry and apricot ones.

I know this must be quite irritating, as one or two of my favourite items have become more and more difficult to get my hands on in my local area.

I've logged your comments and have put in a request that we range this product again in our stores. Maybe this item will make it back on the shelves next year if there is enough demand for it.

We're grateful for you taking the time to contact us and hope to see you in store again soon.

Kind regards

Aidan McGauley | Sainsbury's Careline

Only need to to know from Morrisons but do not expect a positive answer and even if it was it is a long to our nearest Morrisons store and probably not worth the efford unless we stocked up a decent quantity.

Well it's Yoplait who make it so if they've discontinued importing the vanilla flavour to GB, you've had it.
