I view many threads throughout the sections and subsections of DS. But please refer me to my posts where I count down the precious months in almost girlish anticipation of another quiz or Christmas. Nope, didn't think so.

Well, I'm pleased you managed to read post 221. It saves me having to reiterate the details! Hopefully we'll see you as a Quiz participant later in the year. I doubt it though, because clearly you just post in here to ridicule everyone knowing full well that all of us have lives yet somehow spend a small part of our freetime chatting in a like mined community on a public forum.

As you say probably not Christmas viewing and BBC usually so if something is going to be broadcast at Christmas in their press releases.

here is my quiz first the rules:

The rules of TV of 2015 quiz

1. This quiz is designed to test your knowledge of TV programmes and events which happened in 2015
2. It closes Wednesday 12 am
3. All answers can be found on Wikipedia. Let’s see how good your Google skills really are
4. I will accept your first Personal Message to myself as your definitive entry.
5. There are three questions per month

• You get one point for question one which is easy
• two points for question two which is medium
• three points for question three which is hard.

There are in total of 72 points on offer over the next two weeks
6. Week one covers January to June. Week two covers July to December
7. In the event of two or more people getting the exact amount of points at the end, I will post tie-break questions.
8. Wikipedia is your best friend for this quiz

The important rule of them all: just have fun!!!!

I view many threads throughout the sections and subsections of DS. But please refer me to my posts where I count down the precious months in almost girlish anticipation of another quiz or Christmas. Nope, didn't think so.
I make a point never to involve myself in arguments on forums, but I think the above sad and unnecessary posts deserve a reply because it is not the first in the ‘get a life’ vein that has appeared in the annual RT cover countdown.

I have no idea what ‘the-master’s’ interests might be. Perhaps sport? Football? I really don’t know and it is not my business. In fact, it is irrelevant. But whatever his interests are, there’s an even chance that I will not share them. That doesn’t mean I would denigrate them or even comment on them.

This thread does absolutely no harm to anybody. I spend a few minutes every few days reading it, and sometimes a few minutes posting. It’s a bit of fun that many people enjoy. We all have lives. Perhaps busier than ‘the-master’s’ perhaps less so. In my view the people who really do need to ‘get a life’ in the sense that he means it, are those who feel the need to make comments on matters that are not of interest to them and are no concern of theirs.

You will never find me in, say, a football forum, but I wish the posters well and would not dream of commenting or giving my views on their interest. My views would be spurious, irrelevant and unwelcome.

It has taken me 3 minutes and 38 seconds to write and post this. Not too much time out of a life perhaps.

Well 'the-master' is subscribed to this thread and also the previous year's one. So there must be some interest.

That doesn’t mean I would denigrate them or even comment on them.
I seem to remember he/she having issues with Wizzywick last year as well. Maybe it's a continuation of that, I don't know.

But we always get at least one ‘get a life’ comment each year. I'm sure we will get more. Maybe we should add it to the Bingo game.

Firstly, I meant no offence by my earlier post that abruptly urged you to post the quiz! So sorry for my "bloody hell why must I get up at 5.30am to go to work and moan at pembo2004" post!

Secondly, brilliant questions! It will make a nice change to be able to have a go at a quiz. (Not that I mind devising one!)

I will have a go and get my answers to you over the weekend. Unfortunately I have a life to live right now so don't have time.

I think this is a very clever and innovative quiz, pembo2004, and I can see why it took you a while to devise it!

All the quizzes are great fun and a real tribute to people like Claires_dad and Wizzywick who spend time creating them.

Agreed. It is a very innovative quiz and the questions are perfectly crafted. Looking forward to submitting my answers, though I don't think I'll get them all right!

My first time back here since yesterday, thanks all for your comments.
Can I offer a truce guys? Same as wizzywick in his post 243, no offence meant. I do read the top two-thirds of the threads in the Broadcasting forum on my work lunch-break every day, including this one if it is up there.

Quite an enjoyable read overall.....I just despair at the "soon it will be Easter, then Summer, then etc etc" type of posts is all - life is short enough as it is and every month seems to fly by without [it seems] having the time and opportunity to get the most out of it (work/kids/other family commitments....usual thing) without wishing time away even more. Enjoy the moment, just wish the late spring - summer months could last longer than they do. So, no hard feelings......at least not on my part anyway.

Fair enough.
We all have off days. Let's move on and forget about it.

Onwards and upwards...

We're a friendly bunch, no truce required! Just acceptance that we all have our oddities and peculiarities that ultimately confirm that one man's marmite is another man's honey! I think that for some people (me included), it is easier to have life seperated into sections, the countdowns we give are tongue in cheek things because it's fun and ultimately because it's nice to have things to look forward to. You'll notice that once winter is done and the lighter nights appear, this thread goes very quiet! So, we get our countdowns and reminders in when there are more people about to read them.

Anyway, there is absolutely no hard feelings! Hope to see you as a semi-regular throughout the year.

I claim to have more oddities and peculiarities than most!

I wholeheartedly agree with Wizz! I'm sure everyone here feels the same, and would welcome your input. I'm also sure the brilliant types who devise the quizzes would welcome your entries if you felt so inclined.
