Money. They make more money this way. Buying three weeks rather then two, most RT sales are at Christmas.

Strange decision to do a 16-29 Dec issue next year. That could be wrong though- sounds like you got an off the cuff reply from some junior.

Both replies were indeed from David Hodges I asked firstly why do they do a 17-30 December issue to which I got the first reply - then e-mailed and asked "Does that mean there will be a 16-29 issue" in 2017

I got a simple reply of "YES" !

Normally there are two issues that dont include New year thats when the calendar goes 18 - 31 December and 17 - 30 December in consecutive years. This 16 - 29 issue must be used then when they can only have one issue (like this year without New Year) as to make us pay a bit more

I hate ads that dont tell you what the store is about (yes i know WE know) for instance is John Lewis a pet store selling foxes? Wonder how many children will want bouncing dogs for Christmas

ASDA are planning 26 mini ads on what you can get at ASDA - at least M&S got there in the end - Aldi though stright to the point - FOOD!
Most people know what John Lewis are about and what John Lewis sell. But I think you're missing what JL are trying to achieve with this add (as they have with previous adds)

It's a subliminal ad, (1) to get you talking about John Lewis (certainly achieved that) and (2) to subliminally plant JL in your mind when thinking of Christmas gifts for people (or in this case, animals) who are hard to buy for. The 'animals' really want a trampoline and JL come up trumps. Oh and the girl gets a trampoline too.

Anyone know of a good TV scheduling template to create your own schedule over the festive fortnight?

Saw this the other day,
Its an up to date listing taken daily at 5pm from the NowTV servers
Shows the movies added each day for Sky cinema.
Now TV has the same Sky Cinema content as provided on the Sky + and Sky Q boxes.
