So when will the BBC Media Centre website and Digi Guide have the Christmas schedules?. My Digi Guide goes up to the first week of December for the main channels now

digiguide should have some provisional schedules as early as next Wednesday and then update them as the draft schedules are chopped and changed up until the following Tuesday

There are some things about week 49 schedules from ITV that are embargoed to the public until Saturday November 26 (the day the new listings start) but you can read about it online BUT dont tell anyone!

Be difficult to sell 2 million copies of a magazine in less than two weeks!
When I was manager for a national newspaper chain in a small town back in the 80s, our normal weekly sales for Radio Times and TV Times were round about 60copies each. At Xmas our sales were round 1300 copies each. This was before all the other titles came out and swamped the market.

As an aside, one of our local 'convenience' shops no longer stocks Radio Times as "no one wants it any more", so I go in each tuesday and ask him for it!

I can't wait for the provisional Christmas listings to come out next week. I know at first a lot of them are mostly full of TBC's but it's often interesting to guess what some of the missing gaps could be. It's a guessing game right up until the listings are confirmed but I find this really exciting. The listings are usually updated a couple of days after the first provisional set of listings are released which fill in a few of the gaps in the schedules.

I'm also looking forward to the BBC confirming their Christmas highlights on the Media website

Thank you for entering but can you please provide more detail for your 2nd guess, for example what Ethel & Ernest are doing or where they are. (See the rules posted earlier in the thread)

I have a feeling Ethel and Ernest could be the cover too (that's not a submission btw...I just pop in and out of the thread every now and then).

I have to say, I feel somewhat tragic ANTICIPATING the release of a Christmas magazine, but I can't help it. I love it. Every year I get the Xmas RT (and sometimes one of the others) and it makes me feel happy lol!

My entry for the cover competition is:

1. A snowy village/town encircling a Christmas tree in the town square. The baubles of the tree will feature pictures of the programme highlights.

2. A moody cast photo of this year's Agatha Christie remake

This year's Christmas "slow" TV for BBC4 will be a ride on the footplate of Flying Scotsman.

Also returning this Christmas on BBC4 - Pop Quiz!

All the articles about it say "it will air later this year" so a very good chance I would think
