here's the rules and announcement

The rules of TV of 2015 quiz

1. This quiz is designed to test your knowledge of TV programmes and events which happened in 2015
2. It closes Wednesday 12 am
3. All answers can be found on Wikipedia. Let’s see how good your Google skills really are
4. I will accept your first Personal Message to myself as your definitive entry.
5. There are three questions per month

• You get one point for question one which is easy
• two points for question two which is medium
• three points for question three which is hard.

There are in total of 72 points on offer over the next two weeks
6. Week one covers January to June. Week two covers July to December
7. In the event of two or more people getting the exact amount of points at the end, I will post tie-break questions.
8. Wikipedia is your best friend for this quiz
9. Can everyone took part give me feedback so I can improve next years quiz

If the winner of this quiz also enters whizzywicks quiz and they end up in a tie in my quiz with someone who scored less points than them in whizzywicks quiz, the fact that they won this quiz will make them the overall 2016 Quiz winner.

The important rule of them all: just have fun!!!!

Can you confirm the answer for question number 3 in February?
Your answer is £304?

I've seen from multiple sources that the 1992-97 UK deal was worth £191 million.

It's a strange one isn't it? There are reports that suggest the price was £304million and similarly reports that the price was £191million. Was the £191million the price of the highlights package? I'm confused by the conflicting answers.

Apparently the highlights package was £22.5 million.

£191 million (Sky UK Live Rights).
£22.5 million (UK Highlights BBC).
Overseas £40 million.
Total £253.5 million (1992 - 1997).

I think both answers should be correct then (£191m £304m). Otherwise it wouldn't be fair. We aren't mind readers.

Also I'm confused about the scores. I scored 25 points out of 36? I answered all the questions correctly.

Sorry had a busy week so no time to enter the quiz, well done to those who did!

Some Christmas TV news Anne Reid said on BBC Radio Manchester that there is 2 hours of Last Tango in Halifax being made for Christmas.

Unconfirmed, she said 2 hour special but then said she didn't know what format it would take, can't see BBC showing 2 hours of Last Tango in one go so guessing 2 x 1 hour episodes.

Guys, regarding the carrying over of points to my Quiz later in the year. As my Quiz is an 8 week event and awarding 1 point for each correct answer, I have been having second thoughts about using the overall winners points from this quiz to potentially decide the winner of my quiz should players be tied on points. It seems unfair in reality. I had around 18 entries for my quiz, 13 of them entered each and every week. Therefore, I am sorry, but I can't, in hindsight, allow any seemingly unfair conclusion to my quiz. Therefore, I have to announce that no points from this quiz will be carried forward to my Quiz. It would be too complicated to endorse and manage.

Sorry pembo, your quiz is terrific and I will submit my answers to you in due course, but I hope you understand my reasons. I should have thought a bit more about it in honesty.
