The films to be shown on BBC last year were announced the day after the "TV" announcement.

So if the tree is lasting until the 12th day of Christmas you'd better wait until December
This year I'll be buying on the Sat 3rd - it will be up until 6th Jan and will still look great. I've always bought fresh and from a variety of small and large outlets. For the last 5 or 6 years I've been buying from Tree Amigo's http://www.treeamigos.org/ who have outlets North West, the Midlands, Yorkshire, The Humber and the North East. They sell outside our local Morrisons. They're the best Christmas trees I've ever bought and year after year we're delighted. If you buy in the week, or when they're not busy, they'll saw the bottom inch off for you and then re-net it. They also deliver.

Yes, but that's because they weren't very good! Usually films are announced in the same press pack. If there is a big movie, it'll be announced. If there isn't, then it'll be like last year I suspect.

I predict a giant bauble with white animated festive images such as reindeer, holly and snowflakes moving across it.

Could be a bauble.

What they have mentioned about Eastenders is interesting, we've had a cast member mentioning Christmas could be happy, but that information indicates, Secrets, Fractured Families, and Explosive action.

I also dont get the David Wallims Love in, I have never found the guy funny or entertaining, didn't mind his shows with Matt Lucas, but always felt Matt carried him

I have always found Walliams a little bit creepy and I really don't know why.

Look's like I'll have to clear some recording space as both boxes will be recording lots in the next few weeks.

Only Eastenders reallly interests me.

I tend to watch a lot of sport, so that takes up most of Christmas, Not the biggest film lover, or these adaptions of novels.

ITV from New Years Day take over the horse Racing, be interesting to see if Channel 4 do any look back shows over the Festive period, seeing that Horse Racing has been on the channel since 1982, if i believe rightly.

Channel 4 shared the coverage with the BBC up to the end of 2012 - wont go down too well with The Chase and Tipping Point viewers lol

Does anyone know when DigiGuide will be releasing the BBC schedules for week - 10th - 16th December? My DigiGuide doesn't have any schedules for any of the BBC channels yet for this week, but have listings for all the other channels.

One thing missing from the highlights - i would have thought with so many celebrities passing away this year there would have been some kind of tribute to them or even some individual tributes

Ok thanks for that. Hopefully we will get some schedules later today or tomorrow. Yea it is odd every other channel has got some sort of provisional schedule for that week apart from the BBC. Hope the BBC aren't this slow in releasing their provisional Christmas schedules this year

The first provisional schedules have to be sent to the listing companies by tomorrow afternoon so if didiguide pays the same rates then we may see something tomorrow
