Don't they BBC have some kind of ''Jesus came down the tree'' type programme on late night Christmas day?

Got to love Digiguide. Looks like BBC One might not be showing the film everyone is expecting.

Quote:
“FILM: Frozen

15:10 to 16:40

Three skiers stranded on a chairlift are forced to make life-or-death choices which prove more perilous than staying put and freezing to death.

What a lot of posts over the last two days! It's great to see the momentum building up to the publication of the Christmas RT.

Guys, can I ask?

As it was short notice, are any of you planning to take part in the Schedule Game? I don't mind if you don't want to because I realise there have been a lot of competitions, it's just that currently no one has entered. I did receive one entry for Boxing Day, but I have since changed the options in response to todays surprise early drafts of the schedules/

If 4 or 5 of you want to take part, then of course it will be brilliant, but if you'd prefer to give it a miss then again, I'm OK with that. Alternatively, if you think the deadline should be extended until Saturday so you can devise a New year schedule, again, let me know.

Should switch Strictly and Bake Off imo - Strictly Xmas is hardly must-see, anyone really that desperate to see Melvin Odoom (who was eliminated first this year) and Ainsley Harriott dance again with the judges dishing 10s out like sweets? On the other hand this is the LAST EVER Bake Off on the BBC, it is the biggest show on TV, why give it a send-off in such a poor slot? Think 24th/26th or 26th/27th would be good fits.

Think you should extend it till Saturday. I already posted a new year eve prediction on this thread and don't see much need to change it if you want to count that as an entry. It's a good idea it maybe needs to be done earlier next year though.

Agree about Strictly come dancing that and call the midwife should move to boxing day or alternate them both ever year. Don't agree with bake off been on Christmas day I think after how love productions have been the BBC should finish it on 22nd and 23rd at 8:00 and leave it to die quietly on channel 4 from next year. Either way it don't fit Christmas Day I would rather see a new impressions show or a new a new animation instead. I

It was shown last week on Horror, and again a few weeks previously.

Bake Off wont be on Christmas Day, I'll eat my hat if it is. Strictly will be in it's usual pre 6pm slot before Dr Who, not after it in the evening.

We don't normally get schedules this early from the broadcasters! Next year it'll likely be even earlier if the RT covers 16 - 29 December. Thanks for your feedback though. A final decision will be made later today.

What format are the Christmas Bake Off specials? Aren't they normally "instructional" - Paul and Mary's Masterclass, sort of thing? If so, I'd agree that would be an odd thing to have on Christmas Day, particularly if it's festive recipes people would want to try. Saying that, the masterclass episodes have been on BBC Two before I think, so if the new ones are on BBC One I guess they could be "competition" ones eg. celebs or past winners.

EDIT: ignore me, seems indeed to be past winners, replacing the Masterclass format - https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbi...o-contestants/ So anything's possible I guess!

Unfortunately the listings on Digiguide.tv premium only go up to Friday 23rd December. I have noticed this is also the case for every channel, including all the Sky channels. This service must only unfortunately offer 1 month listings only.

Please can anybody post BBC Two schedules from Christmas Eve until the Friday 31st Dec? I'm itching to know what films they are showing in the mornings for this week. Thanks

There is limited info for BBC2. Mainly TBA's. But if Christmas day is anything to go by, the type of early morning film is Mike Myers in the appalling "Cat in the Hat".

Thanks mate. That's a shocking choice of film for them to show I must say. So far there aren't many old films on BBC Two looking at the week leading up to Christmas which is disappointing, although the schedules are far from finalised so hopefully things will hopefully change as the schedules are confirmed early next week

Channel 5 have the best selection of classic films over Christmas.

There are movies such as The Alamo or Up Periscope scheduled during the week after Christmas, but it appears to be pretty much business as usual in the week prior.

Yes Digiguide.tv premium users can only get listings up to 1 month in advance. Today the listings go up to 23rd December across all channels. I didn't realise this when I subscribed. Sadly I can't get the Windows version at the moment as I don't have a PC at home and my works' PC won't allow it to be installed, so I'm currently relying on the digiguide.tv premium version at the moment.
