My local Tesco has a sign up this morning saying that all direct deliveries are running 2-4 days behind.

Can't believe that 7ft Christmas tree is now £40. we've just put our old B&Q one up (only had it four years and it cost £70) and it looks terrible, it was never brilliant to start with!

The worst Christmas tree I have ever had was the Poundstretcher one for £9.99. Yes, you get what you pay for, but I thought things had to be fit for purpose despite the cost. It looked like it had mange! I threw it out once I had opened up its branches! It looked awful.

And yesterday he was telling the Loose Women he has social anxiety. I have social anxiety and could not go to any places like this.

Poundstretcher is always terrible quality.

Why didn't you return it?

Because I couldn't be bothered! It wasn't a faulty tree. It wasn't damaged. It was just awful. I guess I should have known better.

I was going to buy the deluxe B&M 6ft tree for £9.99 asked a lady in the shop if the one was on display she said yes - what a horrible looking tree - you could drive a car between the branches

Even the Tesco tree's this year aren't great.

That sounds similar to the one from Poundstretcher! They didn't have the tree out on display when I bought it though.

I worked in Poundstretcher many years ago and someone nicked the fully decorated display tree.

The branches are just spaced apart to much. I also think they look really cheap for how much they cost.

I alternate my decorations as I have two trees. This year I am using my Homebase White Tree with thick snow on the branches - it looks stunning. It would have cost me £100 if I had to buy it at full price, but my brother works at Homebase and managed to let me have it for £15. (Something about it being ex-display and missing parts - which it wasn't!). It is the best quality tree I have ever had.

Next year, I will use the £15.00 (Reduced from £30.00) Tesco Green Tree. This is also a really good quality tree and for the money paid looks like it cost far more than it did. This is the second tree from Tesco's I bought and they have both been really nice. (I gave the first one to my sister who was having a rough time of it financially).

Bless them! I wonder why they'd nick that particular tree?

Are they separate branches that you hook in or hinged? i find the hinged branches are the worst.

It's ridiculous the prices on some of these trees and they don't last either.

They hook in individually.

We have a Black Tree from Tesco in the Living Room which is really good quality. I know Black sounds a horrible colour but it's really nice with White lights and Silver decorations.

Upstairs I have a 5ft Green Tree I got from the charity shop 2 weeks ago for £5, really good quality to.

My downstairs tree is hook in. This year I missed out the 3rd set of branches by accident. I got all the way to the top and had to take them all off again! lol.

It's the "or something" part of the thread that gets discussed from time to time! What's your tree like?
