Which gets higher viewing figures.

And that's a very subjective term, many would say Corrie has been better than Emmerdale recently.

Emmerdale has more episodes over the festive period than Corrie.

Also, which was the last soap to have the most expensive stunt ever?

I only have last year's Christmas Day ratings to hand Coronation Street was the 9th most watched programme (overnights and consolidated), Emmerdale failed to make the top ten

No news regarding BBC1's Christmas Eve line up?

Could they be moving the Captain America Film to Christmas Eve as ITV have moved Spider-man?

ITV's Christmas Eve is now:

6.30 Blankety Blank
19:30 Coronation Street
20:00 Birds of a Feather
21:00 Grantchester
22:30 Through The Keyhole
23:30 ITV News

I would say that is ITV's best Christmas Eve schedule in years.

It certainly gives the impression that in the ratings war, ITV will beat BBC1 hands down on Christmas Eve.

Don't know. Nothing regarding BBC1's Eve schedule has been confirmed yet, other than Michael McIntyre.

Oh look, Channel 4 have a Disney film (Sword in the Stone) too on Christmas Day - I haven't looked at timings yet - but it looks like the film on Channel 4 will finish before the BBC1 and ITV1 films start.

Granchester on Christmas Eve seems an odd choice - but then maybe I'm the only one in the country who finds Christmas Eve to be a rather busy night and any TV watching tends to be in small chunks. This year my partner is playing the evening service at one church and then the midnight service - so Granchester is definitely going to have to be recorded and watched at a later date.
