ha ha - I wasn't talking about your post, more an afterthought that I shouldn't reveal details of the cover until it's officially out (without a spoiler)

I don't think you can reveal too much by one open square a centimtre wide! i wouldn't worry. We'll know by Friday night anyway.

A misspent youth? I remember that! I think!

Given the free book on offer I wonder if the cover could simply be . . . .

Spoiler
Another Raymond Briggs Father Christmas/Snowman themed picture. I'm sure they bought a job lot in 2012 and are trying to get their monies worth

It could be:

Spoiler
Ethel and Ernest in a Christmas scene as Ethel and Ernest is this year's Raymond Briggs animation.

Its definitely the sack that is showing there.
Might be a series of them on offer with the new one appearing on TV over Christmas.

There's a slipper in box 2. I think it's:

So ITV are really worried you might miss Polar Express and to that end - they have decided to air it on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day..... just to make absolutely sure you won't miss it.....

A slipper? I can see a ducks foot (or at least a yellow webbed foot)

The 4th is probably a bit too early for the entire family to be sitting down to watch a Christmas movie, the 11th might be a bit more reasonable.

Looks like BBC One will revert to normal daytime from Jan 2 - they have announced a new quiz Impossible for that day

Still not seeing "Christmas Lights" in the listings for Digiguide - but I notice for example - Granchester is lacking any description or cast - so I assume we are waiting for more to come?

I remember the anger, the disgust, the furore during Christmas 2006 when New Year's Day 2007 reverted to near normal when it fell on a Monday! Back then it was a rarity. Nowadays it's pretty much the norm to revert to normal on Bank Holidays.

Quite a good subscription offer in the new RT (Robbie Williams cover)
Every 6 months by DD £49.99 for every 26 issues. Includes Xmas RT.
£50 M&S gift card sent after 4-6 weeks - pays for the first six months for free.
Can cancel anytime and receive a full refund on any outstanding issues. So nothing to stop someone cancelling after getting the free M&S giftcard and getting the majority of their subscription costs back.

I was seriously considering this offer, but as I said in a previous post I do like to go into the shop and pick my own RT and buy it over the counter every week.
