Any other subscribers had a letter saying their subscription is going up?

Mine will go up next month from £17 per 3 months to £29.90 per 3 months similar to a £1 per issue price rise

4 x 29.90 = £119.60

52 x £2.30 = £119.60

They say that a 51 week subscription costs £131 (but there are 52 issues if you count the double as two weeks especially as it costs two weeks price) = £2.52 Postage inc

The letter says that my level of discount was no longer viable for their business due to increase newsprint and postage costs but it looks from the figures above there really is no incentive to subscribe

Lost one subscriber I wonder how many more will go
That's a ridiculously expensive increase in costs.

I can imagine yours won't be the only subscription lost.

I don't pay mine by direct debits. I just renew it by card for six months at a time. £35 for 26 issues, at the mo.

What do you think the big films will be this year?

I'm guessing Frozen or Paddington for Christmas Day afternoon (Paddington would be perfect)

Anyone got any predictions?

I've just received my subscription copy of the RT and am delighted to report that it has a really wonderful Easter cover! And great Easter page borders for Sunday and Monday. I hope the Christmas cover will be as good!

This is the second year in a row that the Easter cover surpassed the previous Christmas issue for niceness!

Just a reminder:
On Sunday April 3rd, I will be revealing the second of the four items that make up the prize in my annual quiz.

For those who missed the first reveal, here it is again:

A poster of a classic 1950's Christmas Radio Times Cover.

So, keep your eyes peeled on Sunday April 3rd for more information.

There is this image from "Newsstand". It's the only one I could find.

That's the one, but it looks better 'in the flesh' because the colours are not as strident.

Admittedly, it's not as nice as last year's - but I think it's better than the Christmas cover!

I have it! I bought it this morning whilst shopping. Yes, it looks nice. I like the minimalist look and the cheeriness of it. But last year's was especially lovely!

Nice cover, pity Easter TV itself is absolutely dire. You wouldn't even know it was an extended holiday weekend.

Thank you very much. I remember it now and I agree, it was exceptionally lovely! But I'm not complaining about this year's, it was a nice surprise when it arrived. Now ... how long until the Christmas one?? Only just over eight months to go!

I'm not disappointed in the cover this year either. At least RT is making the effort! Shame about the BBC!

Christmas night might actually lose Call the Midwife this year. With a rumoured new Royle Family and a possible "Bishop from Dibley" alongside Mrs. Brown's Boys, there mightn't be any room for Call the Midwife!

Being purely selfish, that would suit me very well. I have never watched Call the Midwife as I don’t find a show centred around childbirth particularly attractive. The other shows you mention would be rather splendid!

I also had a dream. Yep, it's odd, but it's totally true. But in this dream, I had a copy of the Christmas Radio Times for this year. And gracing the cover was none other than BBC1's Sprout Boy! I hope it's not a vision because I really don't want Sprout Boy to return.

YES That cover is so much better than the Christmas Cover and i bet it was cheaper to produce as well and its a much better result with less money spent on it.

The RT have made an error on Easter Sat/Sun on ITV.

They have CITV listed as 6.00-10.20am with "see CITV channel for info"

But CITV only simulcasts until 9.25, Then ITV shows Thunderbirds and CITV channel shows something else.
