Not sure I agree here. My niece and nephew are allowed to stay up a little bit later on Christmas Eve -- they have the usual Christmas Eve boxes with the Christmas pyjamas in, etc, that so many kids seem to have these days. It actually seems like a good bargaining tool -- i.e. "you can watch this and then you're off to bed".
It's also repeated at 5:25pm on Christmas Day.Bake Off being on Christmas Day is a no-brainer. It's been absolutely massive in recent years and I think it'll get an extra boost considering these Christmas episodes are the last-ever episodes on the BBC1. I also think it's a good time -- by 4:45pm most people are relaxing on the sofa and Bake Off is perfect light viewing in my opinion.
