Clares Dad you scored 19 out of 20 - the number of Stick Men was 26 (the answer is on this thread post 224)

Wizzywick you scored 20 out of 20
Davads you scored 20 out of 20

so we have a tie - if its ok with the two winners I will bring forward the tie question to 9pm tonight”

That'll teach me not to read every post!

In light of the sad news about Ronnie Corbett, I wouldn't mind betting that instead of a Morecambe and Wise repeat on Christmas morning or Boxing Morning, we get another chance to see the Two Ronnies Christmas Sketchbook.

I wonder if the BBC would be kind enough to show a Paul Daniels Christmas Show over Christmas too? These great stars deserve a high profile tribute at a time of year that they contributed so much to.

I Hope so to , They always used to show an old episode from whoevers biggest series in the week they die it would be a lovely tribute to do that at christmas end of year etc.

The way things are going so far this year I think they may have to have a tribute day to all the stars who have already -and unfortunately im sure there are more to come- passed away

Apart from Denise Robertson, all stars this year that have died had an association with the BBC. Perhaps the BBC could produce a variety concert in order to raise money for Children in Need as a tribute. I can honestly say I cant ever remember a year where so many went so quickly after each other.

A well-intentioned idea (if a little depressing ), but I think that a) you'd have a job getting the consent of every family involved - and those that you did would very likely want it to be in aid of charities close to their loved ones - and b) it would set too much of a precedent; I can well see people in future years where there's, say, five or more famous deaths (people on DS most likely) whinging that "X, Y and Z didn't get a variety show this year..."

In my opinion, the most obvious BBC tribute programme last Christmas was one for Val Doonican, given his death earlier in 2015, his long relationship with the BBC and his association with Christmas given his Christmas specials that ran for many years.

But, as far as I am aware, there was nothing, not even a repeat of one of his Christmas shows. There may be many reasons for that of course.

I did think the other day that there may be some sort of compilation tribute show at the end of the year. Of course, this year may prove to be no different from any other year for celebrity deaths.

On the other hand do we need reminding how sad this year has been for celebrity deaths at Christmas?

Perhaps Channel 5 could do a tribute night like they use to do on Boxing Night with an evening of old comedies and magic shows

Am sure BBC will do something for Sir Terry Wogan around Children In Need time

As promised, today I can reveal the second of four items that make up the prize for my Quiz later in the year.

Last month I said that the first item was a

Poster of a classic 1950's Christmas RT cover.

So, the second item is:

http://shop.radiotimes.com/homeware-...ea-towels.html

I chose this item because the 1977 cover is fondly remembered by many thread
contributors.

So, just to confirm then, the second item is a

Tea Towel featuring the cover design of 1977.

All items are brand new and in original packaging or specially made for the purpose of being offered as a prize.

I will reveal the third item on Bank Holiday Monday - 2nd May.

Sorry to quote my own post, but I forgot to say that this year I will be giving a prize to the second place and third place entrants. Details will be revealed in July.

You could have got the 12 for £1 offer again!

It seems that buysubscriptions.com is unable to tell if you have cancelled and subscribed again.
